Any good custom manufacturers for those 20cm plush dolls?
>>10957070I don't know about specifics but probably better off finding one with no min qty on Alibaba vs taobao who will likely just be reselling the factory service with a hefty upcharge
My account was freezed, anyone knows what can I do? I've read the only way is to call them directly but that'd be expensive lol
>>10957612Just came here to complain about the a similar thing. It wants me to verify ID or whatever, but it won't let me do anything on the website, just says to use the app, but the app just errors and forces me back to the login where it resends the verification code. The option to accept a phone call doesn't go through to my phone. No wonder this thread is dead these days, you can't even browse the listings without being a Chinese citizen now?
>>10957694Christ, I talked to customer support and I'm not even sure if that fixed it, because at the same time I screwed around on the app until it finally let me upload my passport directly to the app. One way or another my account is unfrozen. Good luck to the other anon with this issue and anyone else in the future.
>>10957694same thing happened to me, ive had my account for many years. june no issue, then a few weeks ago i went to browse and it wants me to verify and i havent been able to get anything to work.i gave up trying to do anything, but maybe i'll try again soon.
>>10957694They want you to submit an international passport via the app, but even having done that they still freeze your account every other week. I'm at the point I can only browse Tao via image search using site:item.taobao.com.
>>10958474Yeah, even after that my account has been frozen 3 more times now. Every time I have to contact customer service on a 2nd account, wait for an agent to call me, wait longer for them to say my account is unlocked. It is ridiculous. I think part of what is getting my account frozen is browsing via PC and opening many item tabs at once, I am guessing their system mistakes it for bot behavior. If my account gets frozen again even just browsing one tab at a time, I'm throwing in the towel. I love Taolife and I love how TaoBao recommends things based on your favorites, but its really too much effort/frustration to keep getting sent to "Risk Center" and having to return to customer service. >>10958351At the very least, customer service does help resolve it and they have English speaking agents these days, it's just very annoying to jump through the hoops.
guess I'll be the first to drop their goods itt. went with a mini order. wang ye "taoist" outfit, gourd water bottle with rope strap and some ghost money pendants. nothing especially flashy but I'm pretty excited. wang ye outfit was a bit more than I originally planned to spend, but the review images all look pretty decent so I'm hoping for the best.
Longshot: Does anyone know how to update your animated Taolife avatar? Like, the one that shows on the main site of Taobao and moves around? I've updated my avatar in style/appearance multiple times in Taolife but the animated one still looks like this old, uncute one. Shows up like this on the desktop version too. Do you have to update it somewhere else? I've tried changing to a static picture and back to Taolife and it doesn't care.
Is it a good idea to buy wallpaper from taobao?Anybody tried before?
Curious to know if anybody still uses shopping services or order direct? I know there's pros and cons of both but I tend to lean towards shopping service for them to handle all the shipping-related matters. On that note, what's a good shipping service out there?
>>10960588Honestly, I don't see much reason to not use order direct unless you're getting custom made stuff and feel the service is going to translate your wants/needs better (chatgpt is pretty good at this now, though). Taobao consolidates your items into a single package and it's a really fast process (from my experience). If anything, I felt pretty ripped off after finally trying direct and having wasted my time/money on shopping services prior.
>>10960588Always order direct if you can. I vastly prefer cainiao because they have a pretty good list of what they will and wont accept for shipping. I found the shipping is vastly cheaper. A parasol i wanted to buy was 60$ shipping with superbuy but with cainiao was only 17$ with the tariff refund of 2$ later as well.
