What in the actual fuck. Basically if you work AX Chibi as anything (vendor, guest, ect) they basically don't want you working any other cons within that month. Shame too, I thought AX Chibi was fun, but this is some bullshit. https://www.reddit.com/r/animeexpo/comments/1mmsy4h/ax_chibis_absurd_noncompetition_tc/
>>10958823wooooo we love corporate controlled cons!
And this here is why if I ever set foot in an anime con in greater Los Angeles, it's going to be ALA.AX is the absolute last place you'd want to be if San Andreas goes boom. Between that, their increasing use of GayI, and their dog shit games lounge, it just ain't worth it and I hope they go the same way E3 did.
>AX chibi rescinds policy>Everyone still goes to Anime PasadenaRIP
>>10959036anime expo is the best con ever, it mogs every single other con
>>10958823Okay, I can understand guests, kinda. If you pay them well (lol), I get it. Sleazy, but from a business sense, sure. vendors, though??? That's retarded.
What can I get at AX Chibi that I can't get at Anime Pasadena? I live in SFV.
>>10959126me when i’ve only been to one convention in my life
>>10958823This would be a great way to not get artists for your con, assuming most people read the fine print, but they don't.
>>10959144The sad part is it’s so competitive that there’s plenty of artists who would willingly sign that. I’m so tired of every event now focusing on getting artists and vendors to pay the maximum in vending and add on charges. Even first time events charge ridiculous fees for artists nowadays. Not sure that there’s even a breaking point because there’s a never ending line of artist alley hopefuls who will put up with any kind of fees or policies just for the chance to sell their work. It’s sad what has happened to the scene.
>>10959132True. AX may as well be one of the most overrated.
Are they shooting their foot over a small convention
>>10958823and this is why a lot of people should not work with AX.
