Are cosplayers more likely to accept photos if you take it with them or of them?
>>10959723Obviously the latter but that doesn't mean they mind the former
>>10959723I've never had a cosplayer refuse a picture
>>10959828>>10959826i have, and for some reason, its always when i ask to take a picture of them. sometimes when i ask and they accept, they seem a bit antsy about it at first. ive had more success asking to take pics with them
>>10959854Happened twice. A couple doing a Boy Scout/ Scout Master cosplay (I didn’t ask, because I didn’t want to know) and a Bunny suit Bulma.
I refuse all pics because I worry about being put in some lolcow compilation
I had a cosplayer once refuse for whatever reason then i was like "oh ok,have a nice con.." "I SAID NO PICTURESSSSSSSSSSSSS" and everyone stopped and looked at me and now out of sheer embarassment even if they clearly already posing I will wait and ask/ grovel.
>>10959875Covert narcissist moment
>>10959723Who cares? I just take the picture. I don't even ask permission.
>>10959892All cosplay is narcissism. I'd just rather be seen in the moment, not have a bad pic taken of me only to be spread around in perpetuity as an example of a bad/cringe cosplay.
>>10959875boner robin/boner shinji turned it into a meme on purpose>>10959897>not giving them the chance to do a cool pose or show off their gimmicks/lights ngmi
>>10959904Exactly. This is why I ask for permission. I want them to pose and look at the camera so that I can stare into their soul
>>10959854>>10959865they 100% thought you wanted the pic to goon, which is probably true
>>10959908not true :(
>>10959875>>10959897you're both two sides of the same narcissist coin>it's 2025, nobody gives a shit about nerds. the only way you become a cosplay lolcow in this day and age is if you groom underage girls. also god forbid people are actually interested in your cosplay >why wouldn't you want people to do poses, show off their costume, talk about shared interests, befriend them even?
>>10959914Why would i want to get to know them?99% of cosplayers are mentally insane.I'll take a pic of something that looks cool but I damn well don't want to get to know them.
Am I the only one who feels awkward asking obviously-underage cosplayers for pics? It's not even like a sexual or flirty thing, I'm just nearly 30 so it feels weird to ask, especially if there's not an obvious parent with them
>>10959914As I put it before, all cosplay is narcissism. I don't want a bad pic to spread around. Been around long enough to know what that can do.
>>10959916it just sounds like you're scared of being called a diddy blud not like us pdf file. the solution is only photographing buff men
>>10959916Eh somewhat but then I realize that I can brighten their day a lot. If they’re really underage, I make sure to ask their parents
>>10959723What is that hand pose the girl is doing?
>>10959961>girl
>>10959961it's "the coom reaper" pose, it means "the coom reaches till here"
>>10959961>doing
took a picture with a bunny girl at a con once, I'm pretty sure she was just being nice. didn't stay much to chat but I wish I talked more, her ass was out and those bunny tits were busting to get out
>>10960281hawt
>>10959828Same. Never had anyone say np, including groups. I love to ask groups because they often do really cool poses. I sometimes have to reassure someone that I won't post pictures of the online and I really wouldn't, I just put the photos in my digital scrapbook for me and whoever came with me to see and reminisce. >>10959897If you're taking pictures of the general masses, that's probably fine, but if you want a picture of a cosplayer, you should really ask because 9.9 times out of 10 they'll do a cool pose for you. Asking takes like 3 seconds, I run up to people at full speed and go "Hey,amazingCos, mayItakeaphoto" and everyone says yes>>10959723Both has always worked perfectly for me.Idk for sure but I always wear a cosplay myself at a con, could be a factor. Could also be luck ig
>>10962586at a con i went up to a couple where a woman was cosplaying swimsuit zelda while her boyfriend was just in normal clothing. i complimented her and then asked her if i could take a picture of her, but then she declined. why is that?
I have literally never been refused a photo from a cosplayer and ive taken hundreds.are you all visibly complete freaks or something?
>>10962588Everybody on /cgl/ is an ugly bastard
>>10962588>are you all visibly complete freaks or something?this is 4chin you already know the answer to this question
>>10959723I think taking a picture with the cosplayer is less weird, for me at least. I've never refused a photo though, doesn't really matter
>>10962724i like to do both of and with them, is that a problem?
>>10962598>be fat ugly bastard>go to anime con>not cosplaying or anything>lots of cute girls ask to take pictures with meweird
>>10962727Embracing being an ugly bastard is actually a good strat. A lot of ecchi cosplayers will run to you
>>10959723Depends
>>10962598Except for, the Finn
rule of thumb I use in japan isIf you ask for a photo of me I get one with you
>>10962598Hey now pinoys have agood sense of humor
>>10962734What a chad
I've only ever refused fat or unhygienic people. They're just simply gross.
>>10962739But what do you look like?
>>10962588Very few times I did get refused.Few times out of hundreds.I don't know if these people don't shower or what. I'm no prince charming and I'd say ~99% cosplayers say yes to a pic.
>>10962742A normal human? 5'2'' 105
>>10962756are you female?
>>10962756>105 pounds as a 5'2" femaleoof
