I am not complaining whatsoever but half a decade ago when I got into anime is was an almost exclusively male hobby. Now, when I go to a con, it might even be a female majority, especially among the cosplay. It’s fucking crazy! I went on a date with a woman I met at one of these things and she just weebed me. I couldn’t keep up, she seemed genuinely disappointed that I was such a basic bitch when it came to anime taste. What the hell has happened to this community over the past decade?
Excuse me, I meant to say decade and a half ago. Been watching anime for ~20 years, been a general anime fan for 15
Onlyfans girls looking for simps
>>10962457Correct. It's all anime gaming shit.
>>10962441There have always been female weebs. But if you’re talking about attractive ones specifically, more con-goers just learned how to actually do their makeup decently.Take Emiru for example, without makeup she looks like the average Chinese woman you’d see at a supermarket, and years ago she did her makeup in a way that made her look white. It really can make a world of difference when applied properly.
>>10962505>"average chinese woman">very cute girlalright dude.
>>10962441Your eyes weren't perceiving the girls because they were all ugly and/or landwhales. Now that many "how to looksmaxx" guides exist online, most weeb girls can rise to solid 7s with contouring and a diet.
>>10962441Not really. There were some pandora boxes that opened over the years.>social media: even in the era of facebook still being a thing, you could notice there was a slow but gradual growth of women in cons>also, cosplayers like yaya hand and jessica nigri kinda set up a template for getting noticed I'm sure there were other notable cosplayers with big titties at the time, but those are um, big examples I could think of, as far as first cosplayers where I remembered their names.>patreon begins to exist in 2013>onlyfans in 2016>social media exploded even more, now with scrolling on smartphones replacing channel surfing on TV>algorithms notice you liking cosplay girls, and thus recommend you more of the same thing...you are here. I will say, it's a harder to strike up conversations like the old days. Feels like you have to join one of the many cliques in the community, at least where I live. That's an aspect I don't like. Pic related is hardly a thing anymore in my area. You gotta make moves on social media to even talk to people. The onlyfan problem isn't that bad, tho. Most cosplayers I talked to still have regular jobs. Oh, and that gets me to another point:>cosplay being so much more normalized that there's a wider variety of cosplays to buy online
