I'm looking to start cosplaying this year, but the whole wig situation doesn't sit right with me. Wearing fake plastic hair over hidden real hair is just weird. And it doesn't look convincing most of the time imo.Why don't more people choose characters which have similar hair to them? Isn't real hair much prettier? You can still do a lot with it and it looks natural too.

>>10967860Most characters are going to look like shit with real hair. It's just what it is. Video game/cartoon/anime characters have more hair density than humans, so even if you have the same hair colour and same hairstyle it will look bad.
I have alopecia totalis and I already got the laugh of cosplaying Lex Luthor once, I can't go back to that well twice.
