Is Anime Boston a party con? Do people hang out all night at the hotel lobby like Katsu or Dragon Con?
>>10968557Anime boston is kinda a party con. Not nearly as much as Katsu or Colossal, probably closer to something like Otakon.
I usually just party with a group of 6-10 friends but if there was anything going on i'd be very interested
>>10968560I've only been there during the day, where do people party at night, the con center or at which hotel?
Does anyone know if the official after party is any good?
Ab used to have a rave but it got canceled after it went off the rails one year.No idea how the off site rave is but saturday night is a good night for the late panels so I haven't gone
>>10968586in my experience it was all room parties.
>>10968604The rave was legit fun, venue was big, but making it a separate ticketed event off site is kinda shitty of them.
The only reason I go to this con really is to watch the cosplay events or sometimes participate in them or for idol shows. They're phasing out all of it so there's really no point to paying for an expensive weekend pass just to get Naruto's VA autograph. Looks like the last large non-industry con left with community events in NE is going to be Connecticon.
