how do you like yours? me, I stick with the tried and true essentials of curds and gravy. maybe some dashes of black pepper.
>>21567821I don’t. Cheese fries are superior
>>21567821I also just like the classic fries, gravy and curds. this place near me has like 100 varieties of poutine and the regular is what I get 9 times out of 10. once in awhile I'll get one with meat - bacon, sausage or chicken - but that's as far as I'll deviate. I don't care for any of the wild fusion poutines.
>>21567821that poutine looks like shit bud. half cooked fries. thick shiny slop gravy. the curds have disintegrated, if they even were curds. 0/10.
>>21567821Just glad I'm not Canadian and brown.
I rarely eat it but I've been liking the galvaude lately
ive been to Canada and i don't see the appeal of poutine.
>>21567821I don't eat anything touched by jeet hands
>>21567821Honestly I've always loved cheese fries, nacho fries, etc. I will never understand why poutine isn't more of a thing here in the states. Potatoes cheese and gravy is such a tasty combination.
>>21567821In a roll
>>21567821Pour moi, je préfère le Bloc Québécois.
>>21568326Traditional poutine is better.
>>21568328>Ontario
>>21567821I was extremely underwhelmed by poutine. Just soggy french fries with a very slightly more savory flavor. Fuck canada.
>>21568371
>>21567821traditional with lots of pepper, or with shredded beef.
>>21568375Day of the grill has positive conotations, like we are about to eat burgers. Do of the rake implies violence. Do better
Perpetually pissed that poutine isn't a thing here in Detroit, it ought to be a common item at diners and even fast food joints.
>>21568383Bro just go over the boarder
>>21567821How would you describe a Canadian brown gravy?Carne asada fries are the local version, with cowboy fries (topped with pollo asado) as an alternative.Since covid, there's been a noted tendency to skimp on ingredients and price gouge.Sometimes I make chili cheese fries. Some fast food chains offer them as well, but fast food chili is frightening since it's basically a simmering trash can.
>>21568039no it looks fine.
I use spray cheese instead of curds and it's better for it.
>>21567838yeah there's a place near me that does bougie poutine with like chopped tomatoes and herbs and portobello mushrooms and stuff and it's just too much.
>>21568383Funny how you guys get Cornish pasties but not this
standard poutine>medium-thick cut fries>cheese curds>brown gravytopped with>chicken shawarma>garlic sauce>tahini >hot sauce
>>21569358holy fuck that looks bomb and im a vegetarian
>>21569358why the fuck is torontos shawarma so shit compared to ottawas
horrible looking cantines that seem on the verge of falling apart always make the best poutines. Their gutter oil is necessary for the fries to achieve the correct amount of browning and sogginess.
>>21569358would
>>21569358Yeah, that's not poutine anymore.
>>21568378poutine shouldn't have meat. shrooms at most
>>21570746>Yeah, that's not poutine anymore.according to who?
>>21567821Crispy fries with poutine. No soggy fries. Ignore the calamari. Just the right amount of gravy.
went back last night! so good.
FriesMelty cheeseGravythat's itcurds are flavorless, I use homemade mozzarella.
>>21572394why are the curds so small
>>21572463as they say, small curds make for small turds
>>21569358Go back to india, invader
>>21569358c’est même plus de la poutine, maudit parasite indien
