How do you have your oats, /ck/?I've taken to dicing a small apple in halfway through cooking them with a bit of cinnamon and a pinch of salt.
Typically overnight oats, yogurt/protein powder/milk until it comes together. Add fruit in the morning and some kind of nuts for a crunch.
>>21567990threadly reminder oats are loaded with glyphosate
>>21567990I never have oats fucking bullshit fake health food. I have studied centenarian eating habits and I have not once encountered one that eats this shit food regularly.

>>21567990So cereal is basically a descendant of oatmeal. The best cereal imo is not the one eaten immediately after dumping in the cereal into milk, and not 10 minutes after, but like a minute or two after so that it's still crunchy while having a little of the milk soaked inside. To me, it's basically the enjoyment to eating pasta al dente.Oatmeal, I like to have in a similar way. I prefer rolled oats, since they hold their integrity more, while for instant oatmeal, I really don't like since it's really easy to get them soggy fast. I don't like eating almost pure baby mush, but I know this is just a preference.Along with the obvious normal way to eat oatmeal, I do like the overnight oats way using greek yogurt instead of just milk or water. I bet kefir wouldn't be a bad choice.Sugar can come from fruit (apples, banana, or berries) or honey. Yeah, fall spice stuff is nice. I bet chinese 5 spice might not be a bad thing either. Yeah, a little salt is always good. Idk man, you're asking like, how do you like to have your cereal. Don't know how many different answers you can get
>>21568073probably because of the prevalence of the Quaker instant oats which are all sweet. i usually make a batch of blood sausage a couple times/year and it's one of the most delicious things i've ever eaten each time
>>21567990I'll only eat oats in granola. I don't like them wet and mushy and soft. I guess in meatloaf it's okay.
With salt and strawberries.
I love oatmeal but I tend to avoid it because I can eat a huge bowl of oatmeal and still be fucking starving afterwards.Anyway - I always use a lil ground ginger with cinnamon, maybe going all the way with nutmeg and clove if I'm feeling it.Usually do half whole milk half water, little honey on top..Try steeping a basic black teabag in your cooking liquid for a few minutes at the start, tea-flavoured oatmeal is fantastic
>>21567990Oats are for horses, I only have coffee and a cigarette for brekfast.
>>21567990My horse.

Today I am having oats in whey with sultanas for me brekky, I am eating those oats right now as we speak, oats in whey are delish
>>21569802>spikes your insultinguhh what?
>>21569999He meant to say insulin, but is nearly illiterate. Probably a chronic oat deficiency.
>>21569466he means glyphosate, not the oats lmao
>>21569802>Oatmeal isn't healthy...Plain, it's healthier than many processed foods at that price point and it only spikes your insulin when you eat a lot of it. The pesticide remains only in trace amounts, but most of it is gone when they steam and roll it and nonexistent if you buy it organic.Or you can buy them even more processed, but ready to eat and with less calories per 100g. I think the sugar in picrel is only there for the maillard reaction when they're baked on the line.

>>21568075Anything from an animal. Meat and fat, basically.

>>21568073Sweets are generally more marketable. For oats especially when they're cooked and then baked with honey, sugar, and seed oil then sold in a resealable bag and promoted as a health food for outdoorsmen.
