I drink a 12 pack of monster a week on average. I am looking to replace it with something cheaper. I want both the sugar buzz and the caffeine high. Most powdered alternatives are either 0 cal or targeted at athletes so high carb 0 sugar. If I wanted 0 sugar then I would take caffeine pills or strong brewed matcha instead. Are there any full sugar caffeinated drink powders or syrups that taste good and are cheaper than a 12 pack of monster a week for the same amount of caffeine?

If you seriously drink that much Monster, then you could go buy a syrup bag-in-box meant for bars like pic related. The price quote on this was $3.53 per gallon and it makes a ludicrous 18 gallons. I've ordered these generic "energy drinks" from bars several times, straight or as part of a highball, and they're usually just ok. Flavors are much closer to Red Bull than any kind of Monster. Obviously getting the carbonation and and keeping it from making a mess is going to be tougher without a bar gun setup. You could just mix it into opened seltzer cans though. Even rip off grocery store seltzer 8 packs would still beat out gas station Monster prices, and places like Costco Business Center will sell a 24 pack of seltzer for like 7 bucks

It would probably be more convenient to just stock up on lower cost drinks. Dollar Tree has $1.25 energy drinks: either 12 oz Rockstar (great) or 16oz "Rip-It" which looks like a Monster clone (never had it). Aldi has a Red Bull knock off at $4 for 4 12oz cans (good) and also sells 16oz singles of a Monster knock off at like $1.25 (never had)

it sounds like you just want koolaid packets+ caffeine
koolaid is just flavoring and you add your own sugar
toss in whatever dosage of powdered caffeine and you get
or you just get one of those big 5lb tins of sugar sweetened koolaid or tang

bulk caffeine can be bought on amazon as a 'skin care' supplement as the bulk stuff isn't legal to be sold for consumption due to the whole lethal dose thing
but it's not hard to get ahold of along with bulk guarana

1 packet of koolaid is .45
and 10lb of sugar is 8.50, ~.5lb of sugar per packet is ~.50 cents
the biggest investment you would need is scientific scale capable of measuring milligram accurate caffeine like

I used to live closer to a Costco business center, it was closer to $1.20 a can than $7 for 24. The current regular Costco that is close enough to me doesnt carry any full cal monster so I am stuck prowling the local grocery stores for when they get in new shipments of full cal 12 packs. I want something more convenient then an 3 gallon bag of syrup but maybe I could put it into something like pic related. Dollar tree is also an option but I am currently getting 12 for $20 so that only saves me $0.40 a can for a way worse experience.

Ya my research was pointing me to making my own. I think that powdered Gatorade + Macha powder is probably 90% of the way there. Add Ginseng, Spirulina, Beetroot powder, and a few other supplements and I just would need to work on flavor

Your local Costco might have the original with sugar in stock right now, it’s in the current coupon book ($31 for a 24 pack of 16 oz)

https://sameday.costco.com/store/costco/products/16766975-monster-energy-original-16-oz

If you enter the zip code of the warehouse in the link above you can check if they have it. Alternatively your Costco should have a suggestion box and you can request they stock the sugar version

I actually did a cookalong thread about making my own energy drinks, and by that I mean actually making my own, none of that shit online where they grind up dried ingredients, make an infusion and pretend it's anything like the real thing.
See >>20736173 for that thread, that was a year ago, but I've been drinking it on and off for a year now and I'm both still alive and I still enjoy it.
Pic is from that thread, I skipped the food coloring stage, but that's easy to add if you feel like it. I came out to ~50ct/liter, and that's mostly because I didn't buy in bulk and live in europe, so the stores for the aroma compounds that you'd usually use weren't available to me. If you didn't do that you can easily cut that down to 10-20ct/liter, my main cost factors for the cost were the active ingredients (caffeine, taurine).
Feel free to read that thread and recreate it, it's fun and you can vary it as you want.

If that all sounds like too much effort, do what >>21571730 suggested and buy a premade syrup.

Thanks for this, it will be a good resource.

Gatorade + Macha powder isnt quite there. The initial buzz is a bit hollow and the crash is fast and hard

You're welcome anon.
The ingredients and the basic approach I got from: https://youtu.be/_sYBfkpQBiQ which I'd recommend as a starting point, but he hides the amounts behind a paywall (his patreon) so I inferred them myself and reconstructed them that way in that cookalong thread.
On the very unlikely offchance that you're paying for the patreon to get the proper amounts, do me a solid and share it with me, so I can stop the guesswork kek.

I may be retarded, but it seems like the cook-along thread is down. Do you have a screencap or another resource?

>but it seems like the cook-along thread is down
Anon... the thread is a year old kek.
People in general use 4chan or 4chanXT usually as an extension, which is why I linked it like that, with 4chanX it'll automatically replace it with the archive link for threads that are no longer up.
Anyways since you don't seem to have it installed, here's the raw link on warosu:
https://warosu.org/ck/thread/20736173
Images are still up on there too.

>>21573021
Ah, thanks for the help and the confirmation that I am, indeed, retarded.
Cheers.
>>
>>21573160
Well at least you're on the right website then, we're all retarded over here.

Enjoy destroying your gastro intestinal system, I used to drink the mango locos once a day and it was scorching off of the lining of my stomach and causing nausea and vomiting and hurt for weeks.... Now I only occasionally will have a reg mt dew. Also I was drinking cough medicine and a six pack, so pick fewer poisonz

it's illegal sell pure caffeine in the US.
>>
>>21575404
I'm not in the US, but it's probably the same here, hence why I couldn't find pure caffeine and instead got those awful pills with buffer compound. Apparently you can get it for "cosmetic" uses though.
>>
>>21575407
oh I thought you were the anon with the huge bag of pure caffeine powder
>>
>>21575436
Nah I wish, hence why I used those pills in that thread. I'd definitely get the pure powder next time, but these days I often skip the caffeine because it fucks with my sleep.
