Need to reheat leftovers>putting it in the oven or in a bain-marie is always betterNeed to defrost something>leave it overnightNeed to cook something>again the oven, the stove or the grill is always much betterNeed to bake a dessert>oven, no question about itNeed to melt chocolate>bain-marie is betterNeed a cup of coffee>a humble coffee pot is betterNeed to make toast>use the toasterNeed to fry or boil an egg>pan or pot is always betterNeed to make tea>only situation on which the microwave is more convenient, otherwise a kettle is fine tooWhy were boomers psyoped into using these things? Everything cooked or reheated on a microwave is always bland and dry as hell, the food loses all flavor. It's the shittiest cooking device ever. And it's hardly more convenient in terms of time or effort.I have one and I hardly use it.It's the ultimate cooklet filter.Literally only use it to boil water and drink tea.

i like it
It makes food taste better
>>21575417That's the microplastics talking
>>21575386>psyopedCan you fuck off with buzzwords. It's called convenience you retard. The same for every kitchen accessory invention over the past 100 years.
>>21575397that's called a double boiler
hating microwaves is a retarded genx/millenial shit for schizos who don't understand how microwaves work. They are very efficient at what they do. For small spaces with gas ranges they save me from heating up my whole kitchen just to heat something up. Also I found that preheating something in the microwave for a minute to get the insides a little cooked and then blasting it in the air fryer for outside crip is god tier and cooks things 4x as fast then just low heat in the air fryer alone.

i think it's a very neat device for whenever you want to accelerate water molecules unevenly in your meal
Microwaving rice covered in a wet paper towel to steam it. It's by far the best method. Comes out tasting close to fresh.I don't really use it for anything else.
>>21575557I use the microwave to take the chill off my milk when I make a bechamel.
>>21575388/ck/ needs more bain posting
>>21575386>the ovenAhh yes, heat up the whole upstairs so burritos can be ready in about 50 minutes instead of just 2.
>>21575567Now this is a heckin' epic arrangement of syllables, my good gentlesir
>>21575640thanks faggot
>>21575386>Need to reheat leftoversI can’t put tupperware in the oven. I don’t think I can put normal bowls in plates in there either though I can’t say I’ve ever tried. there are indeed some foods I will only reheat on the stove but it takes longer and creates unnecessary dishes for most things. there are also some things that you don’t want getting TOO crispy so you do like a half and half microwave/airfryer thing to preserve texture>a humble coffee pot is betterI can’t just put my coffee back in the pot when it gets cold (it get colds absolutely constantly)there’s certain frozen slop like microwaveable cheeseburgers that take like 1 minute in the microwave, I’m sure I could figure something else out to heat them up if I had to but it would probably take forever and not come out right
>>21575386>Why do people use this one easily available appliance instead of using five or six other appliances for the same jobs>Why do people think the device that defrosts things in ten minutes is better than waiting 12 hours >hurr durr I only use it for one thing lmao boomers lmao psyopUnironically neck yourself
>>21575386
>>21575386If you weren't a poorfag you'd have a 220 circuit installed, then get a European kettle that would boil your water even faster than the microwave can. Pussy.
