Hey, I'm going down to Trader Joe's. Anyone need some half-rotten produce or whimsically packaged junk food?

A box of mini tacos would be nice.
>>
these guys were all about shrinkflation before it was cool
>thats a decent price
>its 12 oz
>thats an average price
>>
Went to a Trader Joes for the first time the other day and I do not get the hype at all. Not the bougie health-food store like Whole Foods, not the economical choice and selection like Walmart or HEB. It seems like a typical Target grocery section but a bit larger and yet just as limited in selections.

It's so odd how their frozen food quality is pretty good considering the price point but then you go and get a pre-packaged salad or something "fresh" and it literally has a shelf life of like 2 days. Even their bread spoils extremely quickly.
>>
if they’ve got any cinnamon rolls, i’ll take some once you get out of that evil parking lot

>it's so odd how fresh food spoils when it isn't pumped full of preservatives
You retards are so fucking broken its insane
>>

most preservatives aren't that bad. i want to eat food and not have to go back every 2 days.
>>
They have specific things that are good. Seeds, dolmas, taco seasoning, frozen mac and cheese, tahini, and some of their chip types are good. I wouldn't use them as my main grocery store though.
>>
the draw of TJs is the liquor section. the whole store makes way more sense if you just went in there to get liquor
>got my $9 bottle of gin
>got a sixer of cheap eastern european wine
>what else they got in here. hmm $3 thai spiced pheasant sausages
>>
I hate how they organize their aisles.

I used to like shopping there like 20 years ago and they did have some good stuff but the closest one is over sn hour away and its not worth the drive. I have no idea how good/bad they are in current times.

Kek my wife loves Trader Joe's and I went for the first time the other day and it was shit. Like one step above Aldi
>>

Bread shouldn't spoil in three days at room temperature.
>>
>>21579255
I'll take any of their fine jerkies if they still sell them
>>
I love going to TJ. The cute asian cashier alway talks to me everytime i go there and ask about my day. When she sees me she'll aways wave me over to her register :)

Find out which car she drives and wait next to it for her to finish her shift next time. She'll love that

>charles shaw red blend
>boatswain imperial ipa
you go there for the cheap beer and wine
>aieeeee but boatswain tastes like malt liquor mixed with whatever style it says on the can!!!!
yeah that's the point. also some of their snacks are pretty ok for the price too
>>
>>21579255
I like their thanksgiving "leftover" wraps. I can have thanksgiving sloppa except all throughout November. If I could, I'd eat it all year.

The snacks and beer/wine (they aren't allowed to sell liquor in my state) are the only reason to go there, I wouldn't buy staples at a TJ's. Their cheese and dark chocolate covered marshmallows are the main reason I go there anymore.

Yeah. My family used to shop there decades ago. We spent several hundred dollars on booze and snacks alone on more than one occasion there.
>>
yeah get me a bottle of wine will ya?

I had their Kung Pao chicken for dinner tonight and that shit was good. At least as good as a mid-tier chinese takeout place.

How long has TJ been this huge? I'm not American, and the few times I went over more than a decade ago no one talked about it/I didn't see one.
