is guilty of breaking them all.
>>21580317Millennials are tweaking.
>>21580317>don't eat pizza with a fork and knifeThat's literally how it's meant to be eaten.
>>21580317>eat pasta al denteI thought you were supposed to cook them al dente to toss in the sauce 1-2 minutes afterwards without overcooking, not to just eat them like that
I'm from Italy. We break spaghetti all the time.We eat pizza with a knife and fork.Pasta, aglio, olio e tonno is eaten with parmigiano. Tonno=tuna. We have two different varieties of pineapple pizza. America has just the one.We don't eat any meat with pasta unless it's bolognese or something similar. There are chicken based dishes that are eaten with pasta and the chicken is eaten as second course.Barbecue chicken pizza was extremely trendy in Italy a few years ago. This was all dreamt up by some fatmerican fatty who can't correctly pronounce her own surname and has never been to Italy or even spoken to an actual Italian.
>>21580317>no chicken on pastachicken parm?
>>21580368Thank God for American Italians for actually preserving Italian culture, Europe has fallen
>no cream on carbonarakek
>>21580371italian-american thing. the original dish is just “parmigiana” and it’s made with eggplant
>>21580317I will break my spaghettiI will put chicken on pasta and pizza (what a retarded rule)I will drink cappuccino whenever I likeThe rest sound about right.
>>21580383gay
>>21580317In for a penny, in for a poundI eat chicken on pizza and think al-dente is undercooked so I’m going to start eating it with a knife and fork like Donald Trump and that Indian communist who’s running for mayor of New York
>>21580317number 4 should be allowed. number 8 should be allowed. number 10 is fucking stupid. number 12 is ridiculous. I agree with all the others.
>>21580368>>21580371>>21580388>>21580466>>21580490Please don't visit Italy, you are not welcome here.
>>215803176 is how you should do pasta if you're actually gona eat it or give to someone to eat
>>21580564If you're doing it to prevent sticking then all you have to do is add some sauce. Rinsing it will stop any sauce from sticking to it as well. Drain it, and as soon as it's done draining mix it with sauce. It won't stick unless you let it sit for too long after draining with nothing on it.Supposed to be okay to rinse it if you're making pasta salad since the thinner dressing might not prevent sticking as well. But I want to try making it without rinsing next time to see if it's better or worse.
>>215803171. okay I guess2. you can break them. brodino con la pastina is peak comfy cottagecore shit3. you can do it, but you'll wash down flavours4. you can eat pizza however you want5. some fishes pair well with cheese: swordfish and caciocavallo is great6. you must rinse pasta with cold water if you want to prepare the typical lunchbox cold pasta for when you go to the beach (pesto+sliced tomatos+mozzarelline=goat)7. I've tried some recipes with ketchup and weren't half-bad. some nonna even use it as "secret ingredient" in the passata8. pineapple on pizza is okay, just hawaiian is boring9. I like well cooked pasta, it's even more digestible10. I don't understand why this isn't a thing, there's literally no reason to forbid it. it's a stupid rule11. sangria is fantastic and it has red wine and ice12. fuck you, I drink what I want whenever I wantthese kind of rules are the death of creativity and innovation, we are free to do whatever we want and make us happier
>>21580585It's not for sticking it's too cool the past down so it's edible and stopping the cooking process right then and there when I choose the best al dente texture and to rinse some of the salt away(which you have to do because you have to boil pasta in really salty water so that the salt gets into the pasta)
>>21580317on board with all except the no cappuccino after 12pm. I'll drink my bean drink any fucking time my sleepy ass please you fucking pasta niggers. Shitalians are NOT White btw.

>>21580317Just had chicken with pasta yesterday.
>>21580317Im not j*wish so I don't care about 5
>>21580317Never heard of #10.
As an AmericanI would never break pasta or put pineapple/ketchup on my pizzaI have standards
>>21580317I break 2,3,7,9 and 10. And I'm not even American! Who the fuck says I can't have chicken on pasta, wtf, it goes perfectly together.
>>21580317Cream in carbonaraChicken in my pastaI personally wouldn’t eat pizza with a fork but that seems like something gay euros would do, so I imagine that one is a NY dago inventionOtherwise the rest is fine.
>>21580804You are also not very smart. Jews can have dairy with fish. Lox and schmear?Italki Jews, IE the native Jews of Italy, can have dairy with poultry, too. They're the only mainstream Jewish group (I think either the Samaritans and/or the Karaites as well, but neither is mainstream) who consider poultry exempt from the prohibition on the combination meat+dairy.
>>21580886>I think either the Samaritans and/or the Karaites as well, jews got samaris and karatie?? based.
>>21580317Fuck you.
>>21580317does shrimp count as fish? sometimes I cook shrimp in butter and garlic with pasta and put parmesan on top
>>21580368You can go into any restaurant in Italy and half or more of those 'rules' are broken daily.Americans love to fantasise about their supposed European heritage and follow rules that were made up by other larping americans.
>>21580317the only one I take even slight issue with is no chicken on pasta or pizza. just kinda weird.
>>21580317Ayyyyeee FAHGEDDDAABOOWWDET!
>>21580914/thread
only rule 10 i breakthe rest are perfectly reasonable things.
>>21580713If you break them because you want smaller noodles, that's okay. Go for it, it's your pasta, my man. If you're only breaking them because they "won't fit in the pot," I'm afraid you have the dumb, anon.Consider that pasta needs about 8 minutes to cook to al-dente, maybe more depending thickness, we'll say 8. It takes about 20 seconds for the pasta to soften enough for the end that's out of the water to slide down into the pot, let's say 30 seconds to be generous. 30 seconds out of 480 is 6%. A 6% difference in cooking time, and that's being generous. There's no way you're gonna be able to tell the difference between one end of a noodle that's 103% done and the other end that's 97% done. Just let the noodles soften till they go in the pot, silly person.
>>21580822Nobody does. Everybody breaks their pasta. The reason why you don't add cream to Carbonara is you don't want to dilute the cheese. The reason you don't add proper Parmesan cheese to fish is because it's overpowering. You can't buy proper Parmesan cheese outside Italy, something which neither Italians nor foreigners are aware of. We get the leftovers and they're rubbish.Just hide /pol/ threads in the future.
>>21580966>beer with pastanot doing that should be rule no. 13only a white wine should be paired with that meal
WHERE IS YOUR GOD NOW?
>>21580368THIS. Some fat retarded amerimutt came up with the idea of pineapple on pizza being taboo, not Italians.
>>21580317I broke 4 intentionally. I ordered a dish that broke 10. But I never drink wine or cappucino. So how could I bave broken 11 and 12?
>>21581548>>21580368Do Terrone hate pineapple on pizza?I remember watching a youtube video where a guy went to some working class neighborhood in southern italy and tried to deliver pinapple pizzas as a prank. People got seriously pissed and were threatening to harm him
Does not make sense, OP.All separate "rules".
>>21581709Southern Italians are basically Africans, don't be surprised when they chimp out
>>21581216Beer and pizza is an Italian-max thing; they love that combo. They're more likely to tell you that drinking wine with pizza is wrong. But they'll actually just think you're a retarded fool who never grew up to like the things an adult eats and drinks.
>>21580317I'm surprised I only break one of these - 10.

>>21580317About half of these are retarded, some is just personal preference, and a couple actually make sense
>>21580317successfully pass all the commandments. if they add “thou must eat pasta” i’d be fucked
>>21580317My favourite quick-and-lazy comfort meal is a southern-fried chicken fillet and half a tin of baked beans in a bowl of broken spaghetti. Made in less than 30 minutes, full of protein and delicious. And apparently I only break two rules.
I've been all over Italy and they only eat pizza with a fork and knife. Infact I think they consider eating it with you hands to be subhuman.
>>21580317I broke number 5 tonight. Whoops
Italian here:1. breaking spaghetti is completely fine as long as they are still long enough to be eaten with a fork2. I don't care about carbonara, shit dish3. I've seen pizza eaten with fork and knife, kinda depends on what kind of dough they use4. pineapple and ham work on pizza5. chicken and pasta is kinda weird, dark chicken can work, when people use chicken breast, it's really the sauce doing the work, the meat is just kinda there6. the cappuccino thing is because either caffeine or lactose intolerance, but it doesn't apply to everyone
>>21580886>Lox and schmear j*ws don't eat that stuff. it's food made for the goyim.>poultry exempt from prohibitiontypical j*w trying to fool GOD
>>21580330roflmaocopter OP is clearly a zoomer. Millennials are actually old now and know how to cook.>>21580317Rule 4 can be broken if eating a Neapolitan but I generally agree. never heard of 10 but also never had the combination. I did make a chicken liver pasta recently and it was really fucking good + it's a classic Italian dish.12 who drinks coffee after 12??? the only people I know who have coffee in late evening are very old people. 8 strong disagree after putting a lot of years and thought in to this issue I have found that anchovies and pineapple actually pair really well since you sort of need the freshness and sweetness to balance out the saltyness of the anchovies. 7 is something only lower class people and Americans do I presume. 1 and 2 and 6 are very solid. 5 is a strange rule never heard of it before. 11 no opinion but I like to put water with my wine, makes it more refreshing and yes is actually a thing cultured Europeans do. 3 not a strong opinion since I rarely make a carbonara but I also never use cream when I do so I suppose it is a good one. >>21580339mmm It's sort of a personal preference honestly if the package says al dente 8 minutes I might stop cooking at 7:15 and then toss it back in to the sauce and cook it somewhere between al dente and cottura. You're most definitely not expected to always cook it to cottura.
delicious tomato chicken pasta
>>21582462You are very, very dumb.
>>21580317I break rules:2, 4, 9, 10, 11.al dente means cooked to the way you like it to the (your) tooth, not some other persons tooth.
>>21580317Ay, oooh! My arbitrary-a rules are-a central to my identity!
>>21580317I do 6 all the time, why am I supposed to not do that?
>>21580368>We don't eat any meat with pasta unless it's bolognese or something similar. There are chicken based dishes that are eaten with pasta and the chicken is eaten as second course.I guess I am confused what italians typically do with their spaghetti then if there is no meat, what do they do with their penne or fusilli or rigatoni
>>21580504With all due respect, I'm not gonna let an Italian tell me what not to do
>>21583931Depends on what you're doing with the pasta. Draining and rinsing will remove the starch, which can be useful to thicken the sauce. If your sauces come out watery, try using the pasta water instead of dumping it, or at least don't also rinse the pasta.>>21584030He's not Italian
>>21580371Little known fact. Italians didn't have chickens until they were imported from America in the 16th century.
>>21583931why WOULD you do that?
>>21584333>this is what Americans actually believe.
>>21583981Again, the meat is eaten as a second course. It is not served with the pasta ergo it can't be eaten with the pasta. As you can't extract the meat from bolognese and similar sauces, that one is one of the few where the meat and pasta are served and eaten together
>>21583931>I ought to drain my pasta, better put some more water on itSeems a bit silly
>>21584717To be fair, rinsing is fine in certain Asian noodle dishes though those, strictly speaking, aren't pasta. I rinse the noodles for soba salad, for example.
>>21584580So what do you put on the pasta if not meat?
>>21584788The sauce.
>>21584993Like what?
