What's the upside to white chocolate? Other than being white if you're some kind of racist. I am racist by the way.

Based, but dark chocolate obviously because I'm a degen colonizer.

It's hard to describe why I like white chocolate so much. The flavor is just better to me. It's got a richer and creamier mouthfeel.

I would prefer to have the white chocolate, but all 3 are good. I sometimes admire dark chocolates bitter punchiness, sort of like a strong coffee. Good if I'm in the mood for it.

Do they even make milk chocolate that isn't overly sweet? I like the

Some people dont have taste receptors for bitter. Same reason they like black coffee and tea. You also have acquired tastes.

As you get older your taste buds will mature and you'll come to appreciate the complex sharpness it has. Hang in there, kid

Always been something of a white chocolate enjoyer. Problem is the cheap stuff is often total ass, where as cheap milk/dark chocolate is generally tolerable at worst.

some of my favourite chocolate bars are the thin supermarket brand bars that cost like 50p and are probably 80% sugar kek
>>
I only found out this year that a lot of dark chocolate has lead in it whereas most milk/white chocolate doesn't. Not sure if that was common knowledge but I was surprised when I heard about it. At least I don't have to worry about it too much since I dislike bitter things and mostly eat milk/white chocolate.
On another note, does ruby chocolate taste different or is it just marketing? I'm kind of curious.

White chocolate used to be considered food for children and adults were shamed for eating it in public

inb4 I get called a weeb but picrel really hits the spot for me. Tons of other milk chocolate is way too sweet, especially now that cocoa is so expensive but Meiji really has some complexity despite being a milk chocolate (maybe on the darker side for milk).

This brand appeared at my local Walmart last spring and it's become my favorite from there. My absolute favorite ever is Kalev Eesti milk chocolate, but that's at one specific store an hour away and fairly expensive here in the U.S.

These are great, too.

i never liked the chocolate in japan, there was almost always something kind of dry and waxy about it that didn't appeal to my westernslop tastebuds

Milkier flavoured as lot as it's not overloaded with sugar. It's a good base if you want the chocolate texture but not the flavor.

You'd have to eat literal kilos of dark chocolate every week for that to be an issue. Possible but highly unlikely.

White chocolate contains no actual chocolate and dark chocolate tastes way too bitter to enjoy. Milk chocolate is the way to go.

>your taste buds will mature
Uneducated meme.

You CAN develop acquired tastes, which are mostly in your head. You can also learn to distinguish individual flavors better and appreciate that. But on the tastebud side, you only ever lose sensitivity over your life. Your sense of taste will never be as good as it was as a kid, it gets progressively worse. The main reason you hated some foods as a kid but like them now isn't because you've "matured". You just lost the ability to taste what you disliked about them.
>>
>>21588712
What a load of shit. You've just pulled your panties down and shat all over your post
>>
>>21584415
>p-p-pick a side
Why, there is no need to, all 3 are valid and I can purchase any of them whenever.
>p-pi-
Fuck off retard.
>>
>>21588804
Straight facts. The number of tastebuds more than halves over a lifetime, and detection / recognition thresholds increase as well. You simply need much higher concentrations of relevant compounds (e.g. salt for saltiness) to even start detecting them. This is well established. The ability to detect bitterness falls the quickest, halving by early adulthood and continuing to decline a bit more slowly afterwards.

"Bitter" foods are enjoyed by adults because they can barely taste bitterness. It's not maturation, it's decline.
>>
>>21589239
Maturation is decline in a physiological sense
>>
>>21589239
>>21589260
in evolutionary terms that's basically substituting one function for another

poisonous things are often bitter, so children need to be able to detect that shit or risk dying. but by the time you're an adult, you've mostly learned what's edible and what isn't, so you can just rely on your brain instead of needing your tongue to scream bloody murder every time it detects a hint of bitterness.

it's like lactose intolerance
>>
