What are the benefits/drawbacks of vegan/vegetarian diets? Not either just curious.

>>21584510early death
>>21584510There is none, its a delusional reality-defying cope on moral grounds. Vegans/vegetarians pretend they aren't killing things but plants are alive. Weird fact: all food comes from living things. Nature operates on the law of the jungle, eat or be eaten.
>>21584696massive cope
>>21584510You probably live longerAnimals that would otherwise make your burger definitely live longer
>>21584510Asked an AI for you. Seems pretty legit from what I've gathered before. Benefits of Vegan & Vegetarian Diets Cardiometabolic HealthLower risk of type 2 diabetes, hypertension, and high LDL cholesterolOften linked to lower body weight, better blood pressure, and improved glycemic control Cognitive & Cancer RiskSome evidence suggests reduced risk of dementia and certain cancers, though data is still limited Environmental ImpactSignificantly lower carbon footprint and land/water use compared to meat-heavy dietsSupports more sustainable food systems Nutrient Density (when done right)Rich in fiber, phytochemicals, vitamins, and antioxidantsPromotes gut health and satiety Drawbacks & Risks Nutrient DeficienciesRisk of low vitamin B12, iron, zinc, calcium, and omega-3 fatty acidsEspecially true for strict vegans without supplementation Ultra-Processed PitfallsNot all plant-based diets are healthy—think fries, fake meats, and sugary cerealsDiets high in refined carbs and hydrogenated oils can increase inflammation, insulin resistance, and obesity risk Bone Health & Stroke RiskSome studies link restrictive vegan diets to higher risk of bone fractures and hemorrhagic stroke due to low calcium and vitamin D Cognitive UncertaintyLimited data on long-term effects on cognitive function and cardiovascular event rates Middle Ground?Interestingly, diets like pesco-vegetarian or Mediterranean (mostly plant-based with small amounts of fish or dairy) may offer a balanced compromise—nutrient-rich, heart-friendly, and easier to sustain long-term.
>Asked an AI for you.cool, not reading it
>>21584959I like how often I see posts like that now. It's not just on this board either. 4chan is basically becoming a middleman for chatgpt at this point.
>>215849614chan doesn't make posts, stupid. People do. You're the one thats the middleman for chatgpt. You.
>>21584962When I see a common trend on a specific website happen over the course of many months, I tend to associate the website as a whole with that theme. It's a very human thing to do.
>>21584962Alright. I asked an AI and this seems to make a lot of sense:There are so many posts related to ChatGPT on 4chan primarily due to a 2022 experiment where an AI bot called "GPT-4chan" was trained on 4chan data and unleashed on the platform. This created a viral and controversial topic that has continued to be a subject of discussion on the site. The reasons for the many ChatGPT posts on 4chan include: The GPT-4chan experiment. A YouTuber and AI researcher named Yannic Kilcher fine-tuned a language model with a dataset of millions of posts from 4chan's infamously toxic /pol/ (politically incorrect) board. The resulting AI, "GPT-4chan," was then deployed as a bot on the site. The experiment was meant to troll users and test the AI's behavior in a real-world setting. Mimicking a toxic tone. When released, GPT-4chan mimicked the offensive, nihilistic, and trolling language typical of /pol/ users. It generated over 30,000 posts in just 48 hours, fueling conversations and drawing significant attention from both users and outside critics. Controversy and debate. The experiment sparked intense debate within the AI community and raised serious ethical questions about using AI to generate hateful content. The posts and surrounding controversy made "ChatGPT" a recognizable and persistent theme on the platform. Trolling and bypassing moderation. Since then, 4chan users have repeatedly experimented with AI technology to create and spread misinformation, racist memes, and other objectionable content, often trying to bypass the content filters of AI models from major tech companies. This includes creating fake voice clips with AI or using AI to generate hateful imagery. The open-source AI community. The availability of open-source AI models, like Meta's LLaMa which was leaked and quickly found its way to 4chan, allows users to repurpose and fine-tune models for their own uses, including generating extremist content.
>>21584510this all depends on your body. I've been doing it for 12 years or so now and I'm doing perfectly fine with it. lots of dairy and meat shills are going to try and tell you otherwise. I didn't get manboobs from eating soy/tofu. In fact, I lose a lot of weight and with that weight, the man boobs I used to actually have.
The only benefit it social clout, and that's running out cause veganism's popularity is on a downward trend. In the past I might have said avoiding slop meats (tendies/wings) could involve your health, but fake meat is more processed than processed meat. The downside is no B12, inefficient iron, and vegan junk food is far more unhealthy. Atleast with white like butter or gelatin you're getting nutrients. Meat alternatives are very expensive too.
>>21585020Shite not white, fucking phone.
>>21584510>vegan/vegetarianthese "diets" cast such a wide net on what you're allowed to eat that you will find some vegans that eat like shit and some vegans that eat okay. you can snack on potato chips and frozen foods all day and still be vegan... which many vegans do this. if your concern is health, just maintain a calorie deficit, eat whole grains, whole vege and whole fruit, and limit meats to 1-2 servings a week.
>>21585136>which many vegans do this. But not all. An honest person would this out. And would also point out that a healthy diet is just as possible through adhering to a vegan lifestyle. Just like with anything else in life, it's all about how serious you take it. Clearly OP is doing it for health benefits so he is obviously doing it for a specific reason.
>>21585141>But not all. An honest person would this outNo, because it's not entirely relevant to OP's interests, assuming he's interested in health. The longest living people in the planet still eat meat, although they stick to light meats like fish and limit it to 1-2 servings a week. It is way more important to eat whole grain/veg/fruit than it is to cut out meat entirely.
>>21585145You speak from tests and studies, I speak from direct experience. Many others do, too. You can trust the science all you want, but I know better. Hopefully, OP can see past people like you.
>>21585150lol are you some kind of genderqueer Bi POC latinx vegan that cares about ethics? lol you're gross
>>21585203Why does this generation put so much emphasis on labels and titles? It's fucking cringe inducing to the extremes.
>>21585203>oh woah, you do w,x,y and z?>no, you're not (You)>You're a cis-white-right leaning-non ally-gender queer professor-totalitarian-extremistlmfao! what a fucking joke
>>21585203Hey! Let's trade label cards! That way we can learn what type of person we are in a matter of seconds so we can see if we are compatible as friends or something more! Why bother with human interaction? Just give me your labels so I know in a matter of seconds as to whether I like you or hate you! Thank you!!!!!
Lol I really triggered the BisexualPOC vegans
>>21585227It's just me. Triggered into a laughing bit, yes. Should I use more labels to explain further?
>>21585229You replied to the same post 3 times? lol ur mad because what i said is true
>>21585232Again, it's funny to me. Not mad, just laughing at how things are now in the world. Completely absurd, soulless and lifeless.
>>21584510>benefitsMeat takes 10x the calories to produce than they provide, you can support large population on vegetarian diets, one of the reasons India is the most populous country in the world. >drawbacks Meat is brain food. If you don’t eat meat you will start thinking like a fag
>>21584510>vegan prosLow body weight>vegan consSuperiority complex - makes you insufferableFalse moralfaggotry, mental gymnastics requiredFood tastes like shitMalnutritionEarly death>vegetarian pros:Simple to understandLow body weightEasy to cook - most can be eaten raw>vegetarian cons:False moralfaggotryMalnutritionNote: bread is not excluded from EITHER diet, but thanks to the gluten free meme, bread gets excluded too because people need to lump all the fad diets together to deal with their mental gymnastics. >>21584941The environmental shit is actually made up bullshit. Water consumption is never balanced with water excretion (aka the water cycle), land use has ZERO relevance when we can pack people vertically, and carbon crap is just guilt tripping repackaged. This is all mental gymnastics to justify malnutrition.
>>21584941
I've had irrational thoughts sometimes about going vegetarian. It'd be too annoying though, and I like meat.
>>21584510Alright OP here, checking responses
>>21585206Autism. OP here, I have it. But I also don't much care for outright queers, either.
