>>21587664Absolute horseshit and the grocers that do BOGO or Twofer deals are overpricing the stuff in the first place. Best bet is to just buy one at half the ad price as most stores allow that now, and then it's a good deal unit price-wise, but usually buying both guarantees a bad price vs just going to a discount store.
>>21587639in high school i got put in a communications class and one of the labs was to pair off, one writes out a recipe for peanut butter and jelly, the other follows it ***EXACTLY***.Everyone but me used prior knowledge to just make the sandwich normally and assumed I was slow. I should have spoken up to the instructor.

Can anyone be more of a retard than be from California and wear sketchers and vans?
>>21589540It would probably be better if you threw it into a pan and actually cooked it.
>>21589579What's wrong with sketchers schizo-kun? They're comfortable and affordable.

>>21589687You're not just schizo, you're retarded too. You're making connections that don't exist and using it as an excuse to hate an inanimate object. >>21587622Haven't ate one like this in quite a while, but no jokes, It really fills you up in the morning. You can cook it in Slices or eat it whole with any left over bread. Any Wonder bread, Ciabatta, French bread, hot dog buns or even Hawaiian rolls (Like in picture) will do the Trick.
>>21591597Next time I should fucking read what I post, because calling this cooking is like using a dry rag to clean a stain, "Disinfecting"
Low cost dessert anybody? Just because you are poor doesn't mean you have to skip dessert. Here's what I made last weekend. I'm a phone poster so bear with me. No pics, sorry.Bread pudding 1 pound bread, one loaf or whatever 6 eggs4 cups milk1/4 cup sugar + 1/4 cup brown sugarVanilla extract Cinnamon Fruit or filling of choice.I got bread on sale, most stores I imagine have a bakery and sell old stuff cheaper.Fruit: frozen is cheap, or canned pie filling can work. I guess you don't need fruit but why not? Be creative, I know you can. I'm going to try mixing pumpkin puree into the batter and do a pumpkin spice thing next time.So mix the milk eggs sugar vanilla and cinnamon together. Get your bread nice and stale and tear it up or slice it. Soak the bread for at least 30 minutes.Transfer into a baking dish. If adding fruit add half the bread, add a layer of fruit then put the rest of the bread on top. Bake at 375 for about an hour.Since there's not too much sugar in the mix, I serve it with maple syrup. Kind of cheap, but definitely delicious.

>>21587855Kek I got to do this as a sort of teacher's assistant in high school, for her 7th grade science class. Ripping the bread bag open, putting too much or too little PB or J on, joining the slices together wrong, stuff like that.

>>21587622in my south texas grocery store, i can buy a pack of 8 wieners for 99 cents, a loaf of wheat bread for 1.25. a box of mac n cheese for 1.15. but i guess the king of struggle meals is still ramen noodles. you can microwave it for 4-6 minutes and it's instant food for yourself or your pet. you can't microwave rice and beans that way.
Low cost meals... anything, food is extremely cheap comparative to the labour it would take to produce by hand.Giant bags of rice for basically nothingFill up a basket with pasta for nothingMeat is so cheap its almost freeSacks of potato you can get for basically free (walmart isnt the only place you can get them)You can scrub toilets at mcdonalds basically contributing nothing to anyone and fill up a trolley with above listed food after 1 shift, all of this without a second of labour on a farm, its a joke how easy it is.
>>21587622Seasonal fruit. Cheap and literally zero prep.

>>21587622I was living in my car for a while and got to the point where I had to dumpster dive. It's amazing how much good food is thrown out. I'm talking like finding steak still in the plastic and not even rotten sometimes. One time I found some broccoli, radishes, a loaf of sourdough, potato salad, and some frozen pork chops behind the Food Lion and had a fucking feast. I hadn't eaten for 2 days when I found it all and I was super depressed and suicidal and had all kinds of shit going on at the time, and to this day it was the most delicious most memorable meal of my life because it was like this small little mercy in a completely hopeless bleak time in my life. I can not describe the giddy and pure joy I felt while eating it, I equate it to some classic Disney movie moment.
>>21594036Did you cook the stuff or was it already cooked?
Cut off a bunch of cheese off a block of government cheese and microwaved it and ate it. Stomach feels weird.

>>21587648I cook up some spanish rice with peppers I grew myself (ghost, habenero, and thai hot). I microwave a can of bush's baked beans. It's a pretty decent meal. I'm always full and I really appreciate the taste.
