So I had bad eczema flareups on my face and scalp, food related. I cut out one thing at a time to figure it out. Turns out it's chocolate, why?

It's not dairy, wheat, nuts, or major allergens.
Cut out sugar, sweeteners, seed oils, soy, caffeine, still came back.
Stopped eating chocolate and I was fine for 2 weeks, then I ate an entire king sized bar to test it out, got a stomach ache and a rash.

Tell me anons, are there roaches in chocolate?
Am I actually just allergic to roaches?
Can I ever eat chocolate again?
>>
Easy to test. Eat a roach and see if you have an allergic reaction
>>
insect parts are in every food

>then I ate an entire king sized bar to test it out, got a stomach ache and a rash.
chocolate is full of bitter alkaloids. the only reason it's palatable in that amount is because it's mixed with a lot of sugar. just eat less, an entire large bar of chocolate is quite a bit and will probably give an upset stomach to someone with no allergies.

There are roaches in coffee grounds too. In the really cheap stuff you can taste the insects.
>>
Caffeine stimulates sebum production. I love coffee and my face and scalp are like oil fields.
>>

This. OP is bullshit. There's an acceptable limit of insect parts in pretty much every single manufactured food product. It's not the cockroach legs in chocolate that people are allergic to, it's the chocolate, if even a condition so heinous exists.

See how hard you die if you eat some shrimp.
>>
>>21590473
There's a lot of that and also rodent hair in peanut butter. Just part of industrialization. You want it free of detritus make it yourself. That's of course costly and prohibitive.
>>
>>21590634
Chocolate I mean. Peanut butter can be made pretty cheaply in the health food aisle of most major grocery stores. And those nuts are clean.
>>
>>21590473
what about not being allergic to white chocolate? no roaches harmed in that process?
>>
>>21590597
I have it. I can eat a little but it builds up e.g., i can eat about 10 peanut m&m's but after that i start getting a migraine. it will remain that way for weeks, but eventually resets. I typically no eat much actual chocolate at all. i prefer white or other 'chocolates' which are effectively just sweet fat.

Do you still eat things with cocao powder in it? Can you tell the difference just by eating a desert or something?
>>
>>21590473
ah yes its ze bugs zat you are eating, not the sneed oils and sugars.
>>
>>21590634
I can guarantee you it's even worse preindustrial. Nowadays it's manufactured in vacuum-sealed laboratories to minimise the amount of contamination, 200 years ago they made it in an alleyway with random passersby sneezing in it and shit. if you want to know what food prep was like before the industrial revolution, go to India
>>
>>21590715
i avoid anything that has cocoa or cocao powder innit.
>>
>>21590760
what about cocoa fats, white choco doesnt have the solids in it right
or cacao flavored liquior
>>
>>21590780
the fats do not appear to be an issue. white chocolate and all other variations cause no issue. Not sure about flavoured I just always assume the worst and avoid.

Why do people belive random shit online but refuse to believe actual scientific studies?
>>
>>21590473
Are you a dog, OP?
>>
>>21590473
Get a referral to an allergy doctor from your primary. You do have health insurance, don't you?
>>
>>21590473
How much of a sheltered cityslicker do you have to be to be allergic to bugs and soy and literal wheat
>>
>>21591088
Because """institutions""" have eroded our trust for so long that people will believe literal randos on tibetian cheesemaking forums
>>
>>21591206
>noooooooo I am le heckin smarterino cause I le heckin did my own heckin researcherino (said researcherino doesn't exist)
tranny
>>
>>21591088
Because random shit online is tailored to be entertaining and easily accessible, which is the opposite of what you need for actual scientific studies. People refuse to cop to just being retarded about most things(most people, even scientists, are retarded about most things outside their wheelhouse) so they act like >>21591206 and pretend it's not their ego that's the problem.
>>
>>21590494
A lot of zoo or science centers for kids, sells bug candy in the gift shop. ...also some specialty import candy shops maybe. I use to like snacking on lavets, BBQ mealworms that I get from Tutti Fruiti, I think I've seen cricket lolipops but I can't remember if they have roaches. Before Op unnecessary eat roaches though, try buying some whole chocolate beans or unsweetened cocoa powder first, roaches like the sugar in chocolate.

So bugs are good now? Make up your mind polschizo
