>>21591325I don't like salty licorice but I like real, pure licorice. Sadly, it seems like outside of Italy, it simply doesn't exist. There're candies that /contain/ actual licorice but they're sweetened with a tonne of sugar and held together with gums or starches, like those admittedly delicious licorice pipes. Boiled down/condensed licorice extract, no sweeteners, no gums, simply isn't popular among non-Italians.
