Bought them as a test. They were very cheap and easy to make with me air fryer, tasted decent except for the fact that they are way too hard (should be soft in the middle) and salt doesn't stick well to them at all.Would pay extra for tallow or fat from the sheep's tail instead of the sunflower oil mine had, but didn't find anything like that in the store.
Protip: if you are using an airfryer for fries...cook them the first few minutes on the lowest setting...then the last on a high setting to crisp. If you cook them on high temp all the way they get hard
>>21591408I'll try that. I just did 200C all the way through. Thanks.
>>21591408>>21591417Yea I was about to say. Either too long or to high of heat. Frozen packages tend to have the right timing on the packaging but not always. And you can change it up if you're going for a certain texture/doneness.
I tried making frozen fries with an air fryer before and had the same issue, eventually I gave up and just fry them normally.Might try >>21591408
>>21591500A good and simple rule of thumb is>high heat, less timeOutside cooked, inside raw.>low heat, more timeRisk of it not cooking properly, this is more for breads and desserts however. So you need to work with time settings and heat and find one that works for your oven/climate/altitude/etc.
>>21591507I was concerned with the frozen fries being soggy if cooked at too low temp
You probably just need to use finer salt, but if the salt really isn't sticking, spray them with a little oil before putting them in your air fryer.
>>21591408>>21591430this, and add some extra olive oil before you toss em with salt
