Black Angus beefDONT MESS WITH TEXAS!!!You don't need the ass kicking!@
They have a cool little shooting gallery in there with these little pellet gunsDon't even think about going in there and starting trouble
we gonna watch people trying to finish the 72oz steak again?
>>21592940I had the 1 lb ribeye dinner and couldn't finish it all and needed a wheelbarrow to get out of there there's no way I would try thatDo not even think about trying it
>>21592896Looks good, although that little flag in it is pukeworthy isn't it?
>>21593014Imagine getting this butthurt over a state flag.
>>21593014only if youre a fag
>>21593017>>21593018I just think it's a bit ghey. Don't you? If not, why not? That's the fucking question
>>21592940I seriously don't understand how people can finish that, and the sides
>>21593027me neither and I just forgot that you have to finish the sides aswell until you mentioned it
>>21592949I probably could've finished a 1lb ribeye dinner if I still were in my early 20's during a time I transitioned from being a skinny ass fuck to some work out freak, hell I'd probably given that challenge a shot and I could've probably finished the steak atleast, not sure about the sides. Now I'm a 32 year old fart with a beer belly and a fucked up right knee thanks to my job(and probably going to hard on my workouts years ago) who can't even eat an entire medium pizza without feeling slightly sick. Also inb4 Alchohol, the maximun I drink is four beers a week.
>>21592924Do they actually shoot pellets/BB's or is it the type that uses light that you can send into a frenzy with a camera flash? Either way that's awesome.
>>21592896Steak looks delicious. So does the baked potato and i love raw jalapenos. How did you get your steak done, medium?
>>21593019Well the place is bit of tourist trap I was coming back from N.M. trucking.I knew they were a famous steakhouse so I stopped there I have to say the steak was one of the best I've ever hadYou know where they have those Cadillacs stuck in the ground that's just a few miles down the road from there
>>21593068No Well done
>>21593027I know a little about the history of that. Keeping in mind that restaurant has been there for a long time. One time some old lady ate one also some kid ate one Believe it or not. A professional wrestler came in there and ate two of them unbelievable I don't know how big he was though I'm sure he was huge. The record is held but this is kind of unfair by a Bengal tiger that a guy was hauling they went outside and threw a raw one to it and it ate it in 28 seconds
>>21593104Next time youre in Abq go to Monte's
>>21593107Based bengal tiger
You could easily spend an hour looking at all the crazy stuff in there before you decide to eat or after you're done. I enjoyed it I had been on the road like 4 days and still had two more to go so I was happy to get out of the truck and have a little something else to do. The night before I slept in a dirt parking lot at a run-down little gas station / convenience store. I'm used to staying at a truck stop no showers no nothing I'm scared I'm going to get robbed had to leave like 2:00 in the morning didn't get much sleep was kind of tough
>>21593111I went through Albuquerque other than that I was kind of out in the middle of nowhere. I know I went past a lot of Indian reservations and there's a lot of poverty alcoholism and drug addiction around those places. I went to some coal mine out there I can't remember the name of the town Coldwater cold faucet something like that
Maybe it wasn't a coal mine it might have been a rock quarry I can't really remember I took this thing out there. And took the old one back I guess for the core refund it's called a final drive it goes on a giant dump truck or huge heavy equipment to make the wheel turn. This is the broke down or worn out one that went back I took it all the way back to IndianaI think it weighs around 17 18,000 Pounds at least you don't want to f*** around with something like that no straps chain it
>>21593115That's the best way to experience NM. Stay out of the cities as much as possible. Also the restaurant is called Monte Carlo, not Monte's. Mixed it up. It's on central just over the river.
My gf (now wife) played college volleyball in West TX...so I'd drive from Missouri to Texas 2-3 times a month. I became a pro at finding the best highway steakhouses.>building looks kind of run down>old, big building>if parking lot is gravel, bonus>always busy, even though remote locationYeah, you know you'll be eating good. Also you can tell by the quality of the rolls, but not always.
I can't say I really liked New Mexico there's no grass it's all rock and dirt
>>21593125Yes its a desert. I also find it tiresome. There's more vegetation up north. Taos has some decent greenery, picrel.
The Big Texan is such a ridiculous tourist trap. I went there a few years ago and found the steaks and beer were underwhelming because of how high-volume the place is every day. Asked for a medium-rare, got a medium-well. Thank God I didn't ask for well done because it would have been shoe leather
>>21593111THIS ANON GETS IT. goddamn, Anon, that was our favorite place when we lived in burque. what a time warp. honestly the food was just pretty good but the ambiance was five star. i used to sit down and order a double whiskey and then another when the food came because i knew once they put the food down the waitress would never be seen again.
