Thoughts on serving rice with chili?

I honestly prefer it that way unless it's just a small cup of chili.
It's how my American dad always did it but his mother is Asian so…yeah… rice kinda went with everything. We eat rice at Thanksgiving.

>>21593926Not in my experience. My parents invited my friend's family over to Thanksgiving and his mother was surprised at rice coming out of the turkey's ass rather than bread cubes. She even said that she's never seen rice at Thanksgiving. Other people I've brought it up to agreed that rice is not common to Thanksgiving. That's why I mentioned it in that post. Also, my dad and uncle made turkey plov for Thanksgiving one year. They broke down the whole bird and cooked it in the kazan like they would have half a goat or lamb.

it's fine but if your chili has beans in it you should be able to appreciate it straight up.

>>21593830Why not. Most carbs are pretty interchangeable. If you made bolognese sauce with roast potatoes, or a chilli or curry with pasta, it would be unorthodox but you know it would go down easy.
