Why is salep so underrated and lesser known? Made with milk and a little bit of sugar it's better than hot chocolate and literally in the top 5 tastiest drinks you can have.Absolutely delicious.
>>21594283Thicker drinks aren't really the norm for some reason. Other one's might be milkshakes (dairy thickened by cream and sugar), kefir (dairy yogurty bacteria), or smoothies (blended fruit thickened by pectins and sugars). In terms of flavor, cinnamon and dairy is just horchata, so mexicans love it. I guess a horchata milkshake is close enough, but vanilla or chocolate are the normal flavors for milkshakes, and probably cheaper than cinnamon too
>>21594283You sound like a massive faggot. Europoor bullshit.
>>21594549You are not very smart. >>21594283Seems to be getting some traction in the US, at least in my area. Can't recall which store, but I saw packets of instant stuff while we were out doing our weekly shop on Saturday morning. I've only had it in Turkish ice cream and don't know anything else about it.
>>21594283Isn't this made from wild orchids?
>>21594598Yes, but salep made from cultivated ones exist, too. If you don't live in Durkadurkastan, you're likely getting salep powder made from cultivated orchid roots.
