Hello /ck/. I live in North America. I would like to know how you stay healthy. What foods do you avoid, dyes, etc.It feels like everything is out to make you sick these days.I'd like insight from those that aren't in the U.S. as well. What's your country's nutrition like?
Make your own food with fresh ingredients. If it’s pre packaged it’s full of shit.
>>21594411As well as sauces and such?
>>21594420especially sauces
>>21594396i avoid everything and i send smoke signals to this amish dude whenever i need some food
>>21594396Just buy fresh meat and produce. Its that simple.
Step 1: Make most things yourself.Step 2: Eat reasonably portioned and balanced meals. You have now avoided 90% of dietary health problems.
Eat whole foods and don't over eat.
>>21594396>>21594411>>21594490>>21594526>>21594532All this.Grow your own stuff, even if its just some herbs on a windowsill.Gardening is mentally healthy, lowers stress, anxiety, and depression, and is emotionally satisfying too.
>>21594396>How to Stay Healthy>I live in North America
>>21594396Eat whole foods as much as possible, rice and beans, steak, fruits etc. Limit processed foods (bread, pasta, etc) only to snacksSoon you will realise it's difficult to eat enough to maintain your weight, much less gain any. I have to eat 1.6 kilo of beans and rice every day to just hit maintenance. It's a massive fucking volume of food to consume. We really don't realise how many calories are there in processed foods. It's kinda obvious though, it's a way of concentrating nutrition into a smaller package, of course a 50g chocolate bar has as many calories as 300g of rice
>>21594396Step 1: dont live in NA if you want eat healthy real food that's not contaminated. Step 2: fastStep 3: drink more water
>>21594396Just eat in moderation and stick mostly with whole foods e.g. meat, produce and grains that you cook yourself as opposed to anything processed. don't toly drown shit in oil, butter or sugar..it's really not that complicated. unless you are shooting for a particular physique, you don't need to optimize it much more than that. processed foods are fine once in awhile, just don't let them make up the bulk of your diet. also might help to get a calorie counter for awhile, even just to get an idea of what kind of calories and other macros you're consuming regularly. even if you don't plan to follow a strict plan, it helps to know that kind of thing and keep it in the back of your mind.
>>21594396most food is shitty and bad for you. I think most people in the US have digestion issues due to the food given in these processed snacks. They put all sorts of chemicals since it's cheaper. If you are starting out I would just avoid them and only opt to make your own using natural ingredients
AI posters continue to be the most retarded people on the board
>>21594600There are currently no grains of any kind on planet earth grown without glyphosate.Oats, corn, spelt, bran, wheat. It's all contaminated, which is why carnivore diets have been booming. ANimals use their bodies/organs as filters, processing all the carcinogens and bad shit, then you eat the least contaminated parts of them.Just because grains are grown in le heckin italyrino doesnt save them. It does, however, save them from being enriched, which is a worse problem.
>>21594749>They put all sorts of chemicals since it's cheaper. They're sometimes cheaper than whole foods, too. But dumb people never consider the money saved from unnecessary doctors visits or avoiding over the counter medications.
>>21594770>which is why carnivore diets have been boomingCarnivore diets are booming because there are more gullible retards than ever before.
>>21594775It's not that simple. That's definitely part of it, but that was true of vegan diets too. Any popular diet will boom because everyone wants to do it. Even then, most people wont genuinely do it.A lot of people have problems with enriched grains, and also have problems with other aspects of the food. When you go carnivore it cuts out all the excess shit., HFCS, grains, glyphosate, dioxins, etc. A lot of people notice an immediate positive change with regards to inflammation and digestive discomfort, but remain unaware of the downsides of the diet that exist because those aspects of their life have never been bothering them.
OP here, thanks for the insightful responses. After getting very sick last year (it's a miracle I lived) I have been on a quest to make as many changes in my life to feel clean. I have never suffered from obesity because I run and eat in moderation, and yet I still became afflicted with a disorder out of nowhere .It's disgusting how the industries treat human beings. It makes me angry. It's partly my own fault for drinking plant based milks daily with calciums I can't even pronounce. I have some herb seeds which I plan on planting near my windowsill. Could be a fun and refreshing way to spend the weekend.
>>21594913to be quite frank, most things you will overlook. A piece of cake could have things such as sucralose, xanthum gum, DATEMthese things are common to be added, but if you never heard of it before then best to just not buy it. You can google this stuff and find the health studies on each by the "e number" >DATEM E number google search>google search e number for any studies or sites summarizing them
>>21594913>It's partly my own fault for drinking plant based milks daily with calciums I can't even pronounce.I've been doing this for ten years without any consequence. Which ones specifically were you drinking? I just avoid the sweetened stuff.
>>21594929I used to drink exclusively the red label Soy Milk by Silk.Around last year I switched to Aldi's generic brand Unsweet Oat and then Almond Milk. I'm aware it's mostly water because of cost cutting, but I can't be assessed to produce my own almond milk.I tried making oat milk once and it tastes very gritty? I think I'll need to invest in a cheese cloth. I would LOVE to drink regular milk but I am also allergic to it
>>21594396Just eat your veggies, avoid sugar, eat less meat. You might even want to try counting macros to get a feel, for how much you actually need. Also exercise.
>>21594770Yes there are. It's use is banned on organic foods in the EU. No idea about the rest of the world, though.
>>21594411This
>>21594951>I think I'll need to invest in a cheese clothAre you sure you can afford that $0.30 investment?
>>21594396I avoid coal tar derived food coloring, especially blue #2, which gives me headaches.I avoid anything vegan because I like food that tastes good.I stopped eating or drinking anything with High fructose Corn Syrup. That shit is the worst thing you can ever eat. I also a avoid as much sugar as I can. That includes honey.I rarely ever drink.Otherwise I eat whatever I want.
>>21594951>Almond Milkmight as well just drink sugar water.
>>21594396>animestop guzzling cum on the regular
>>21594770Imagine still having no shame in eating slaughtered animals like a savage. You people need to be culled from the gene pool so humanity can finally start living in harmony with Gaia once more.
>be me >American >straight >white>late 20s>not fat >not a manlette>not balding>not a NEETI eat a balanced diet that is pretty close to the Mediterranean diet. I think it is probably the best way to eat. Lots of cooked and raw vegetables, lean animal protein, grains, nuts, fruits, cheese, olive oil, seafood, legumes etc. I don't eat fas fud or drink soda or eat frozen meals or heavily processed food or any of that kind of stuff. Heck, I don't even own a microwave.
Who caresYou're going to die anyway, fuck it
