My 2 quart batter bowl has a chip in it, do I just replace it with another of the exact same model, or is there something better out there for me to use?

Borosilicate instead of tempered soda-lime glass.

Borosilicate is more resistant to thermal shock and so you can have it in the microwave with something in it, then add cold milk or something and not have to worry about it shattering.
