I think being fat or not depended entirely on how big your dinner plate was growing up. Like, I'm skinny and I'd have a steak, a baked potato, and some french bread and I'd be STUFFED afterwards, that's a big meal for me. But I've also been underweight and malnourished at other times too.I don't seem to digest starch well and that has been linked to obesity. And at least in my case it was causing digestive issues and making me deficient in electrolytes and other things which eventually lead to malnutrition. Of course there are a bunch of other reasons someone could become overweight. Stress is another big factor, sleep deprivation causes binge eating, processed food, or simply poor choices. But since I started taking some supplements to fix the malnutrition and cut out starch my issues seem more stable. I get sugar from milk and fruit mostly and then some more from added sugars but my weight is stable at a normal level and I don't have such a strong desire to overeat anymore.

I'm 185 (with added muscle), down from 253. 36, no loose skin, strongest/fastest I've ever been AND was drinking myself to death two years ago.
