Special mention: matcha. Since its tea but very different.Theres also stuff like yerba mate but ive never had it. Whats your drink of choice?
One should have all of them, to keep healthy. For me it depends on my mood, day of the week, and the time of day.Coffee is almost only a morning drink for me most days. Tea I can have anytime, although black tea I'm not usually going to drink in the afternoon or evening on account of caffeine (ürbal tea I can have anytime of course and am in bed now having a ginger tea in fact), hot chocolate is for anytime and often I'll have a cocoa when I want a sweet dessert but don't want to eat a pile of carbs like from a brownie or cheesecake or something. Also on weekends I'll often get a mocha at nice chocolate cafe in the evening because there are no rules on weekends.
>>21599815All of them aside from yerba mate
>>21599815Like them all but coffee ruins my sleep and chocolate makes me fat so most of the time I drink tea

Sahlep > Black Tea > Coffee > Chocolate
>>21599815Tea master race here.Chocolate milk has too many calories and I don't really like the taste of coffee.
>>21599815>Whats your drink of choice?an espresso is the best but it's almost a dessert so typically i'll have a long black or a french presspour over is good too but french press is easier idk which is betteri like a light roastsome teas are nice but black tea sucksof teas, i like liquorice tea and matcha the mostchocolate is better eatenmilk ruins all of these drinks except for hot chocolate although milk is nice on its own>>21599945is this some sort of cinnamon drink?i used to mix cinnamon powder in with my oats and the cinnamony starchy milk it left behind was delicious but i don't eat oats anymore
>>21599815i love all of them
>>21599895>chocolate makes me fat>>21599955>Chocolate milk has too many caloriesyou can make hot cocoa with cocoa powder from the baking aisle. it has like 12 calories per tablespoon. it's actually pretty nice. i find it more relaxing than anything else. and apparently cocoa is actually nutritious. it needs a bit of milk and sugar since it's fairly bitter but you don't have to use much.
>>21599962So you make hot cocoa with a water base?
>>21599962>you can make hot cocoa with cocoa powder from the baking aisle. it has like 12 calories per tablespoon. I do, but it's still pretty calorically dense. I drink 5+ cups of tea some days, if that was cocoa instead it would be considerable calories
>>21599963not enough to prepare the whole cup but usually i do the cocoa powder in water first because milk seems to make it clump up more, then i'll add a bit of milk after>>21599971i see. if you drank that much cocoa you'd probably end up with a bit of a stomachache too
>>21599977It works better if you do it the other way around. Cocoa disolves a lot more easily in cold milk (something to do with the fat content)Add a small amount of milk, barely enough to cover the cocoa. Mix until homogenous, then add more milk and hot water as you desire
>>21599977>not enough to prepare the whole cup but usually i do the cocoa powder in water first because milk seems to make it clump up more, then i'll add a bit of milk afterGive it to me in percentages.
>>21599957>cinammon drinkSalep is made from orchid roots and has a unique but mild taste. Wish it was more popular.Made with milk a little bit of sugar and cinnamon, it's way better than hot chocolate. Delicious.
>>21599997>Cocoa disolves a lot more easily in cold milk (something to do with the fat content)i kept trying but it would just seem to float on top and if i started to heat up the milk it would begin clumping. also less chance of it sticking on the bottom if you're heating it up in a pot with water.>>21599998just about 50/50 or maybe a little less water. enough so that the cocoa will heat up and thicken in the water without becoming pasty.
>>21599815I drink all of them daily, cacao and coffee boost my afternoons...i don't care about getting energy for my work
Used to be very into coffee, but eventually realized that at some point it started having the opposite effect on me. I haven't had it in three months now and I actually fall asleep fast and wake up more energetic than I used to be even after my morning coffee. I'm not saying it's bad for you but remember moderation, your body really can get oversaturated and used to it.Now I just drink herbal tea when I need a hot drink and honestly it all sucks. I'm sure there's a variety somewhere that I'll enjoy but so far I haven't discovered it.

Both coffee and tea can reduce iron absorption, chocolate can add it back in.>both coffee and tea can reduce iron absorption from food. Drinking them during meals can significantly lower the amount of iron your body absorbs, especially non-heme iron found in plant-based foods.>Dark chocolate is a good source of iron, providing about 5.38 to 10.12 mg of iron per 3 ounces, depending on the cacao content. It can be a tasty way to help meet your daily iron requirements, but be mindful of added sugars.
I stopped drinking coffee a month ago, literally nothing changed, I probably sleep better.
>>21600448Men don't normally have iron issues. It's not entirely out of the question that to much iron might even be bad for usThat is relevant for women and vegans though

>>21600458It’s not the only problem.>Caffeine consumption appears to increase your risk of losing bone density, which can lead to osteoporosis (brittle bone disease) and broken bones.

>>21599815black tea > oolong and white tea > matscha and green tea > chai latte > faux/infusion tea/herbal blend > ice tea > plain water > fruit juice > hot chocolate > plain milk > ayran > milkshake > malt beer > spritzer > carbonated water > caffé latte > soft drinks > mead > root beer > bubble tea > energy drinks >>>>>>>> black coffee > misc. alcI haven't tried yerba mate yet, but it sounds like a herbal blend, so as a pretentious black tea fan, I'd assume it's not quite at the level of real tea.
