What Stops You From Doing This? Anonymous (ID: VWFhq1fI) 09/16/25(Tue)10:55:05 No.60948421
>start a restaurant
>it's a small place with cheap rent and low cost utilities
>only have to sell 1-2 dishes a day with a handful of faithful customers to earn 6-figures a year
>work a couple of hours at most per day
>free time to do whatever for the rest of your day

It's free money.

I'm not completely disconnected from reality

Uh, the fact that it wouldn't work.

That dish looks like fucking trash.

You'll work yourself to the bone and then go bankrupt

You know you're going to have competition, right?

what

Margins are too thin to justify it in an oversaturated market, unless you have a specific niche that stands out you are doomed to fail plus the capital needed to start it and maintain it during potential dips in business means you would have to be well off enough to take a hit and that doesn't even take into consideration your own personal living situation and expenses.
>t. former exec chef ive seen the numbers
>>
>>21602613
You need to have a faithful 6-figure-earning customer base to make that idea work. That's what is stopping us and you, OP, from putting this plan into motion.
>>
>>21602613
It only works because conspicuous consumption is extremely important to the target demo, and it doesn't take more than a sticker price to impress them. To recreate this in the West you'd probably just need to add gold leaf and get a fat black influencer to post about it.
>>
>>21602613
I don't want to, that's probably a deal breaker
>>
>>21602613
I'm so jealous that chinks are still in the development stage of industry that they can just start a business no red tape no permits and needing to pay off ten thousand buracrats. Just put up a sign and do something or make something and that's your life. 90% of the opportunities in the US are gone. You'll never be Hershey or Ford or anyone else just starting an industry from the ground up.

What about armored Klan robes and GMO sex slaves? Think about the things boomers have been suppressing for decades.

Having a steady white collar job that pays six figures and can't easily be automated by gay-i

How about supplying shit to restaurants instead like selling cakes and desserts?
>>
>>21602908
Just open a place outside of town, do simple dishes, charge a lot for drinks and have the waitresses suck the dick of costumers, charge extra for a room if they want something extra than just a blowjob
>>
>>21602895
op is one of those customers who demands to see the manager if prices go up by even a single cent and rants about how the owner "got greedy"
>>
>>21603133
Pfft the government runs scams were they charge you to do tests in your establishment and if you refuse they close you down but if you pay they still tell you you didn't pass and ask you for a brive to stay open and they come back next month and do it all over again meanwhile restaurant owners either do one single disgusting greasy pot were they reuse food costumers didn't finish or they buy dogfood like sealed packages and just boil it for ten minutes before serving because the only way they can profit in a recession is to serve food they earn cents on like the profit margins in the shittiest place is at least 100%, but in china it's closer to 14% and Chinese people do "app hack" by installing multiple apps and deleting and creating new accounts so they always go for the cheapest most discounted option even if they pick a grotesque restaurant that keeps day old rice in a non refrigerated bucket under the sink
Everyone is scamming everyone the government workers scam the restaurant, the customers scam the apps the apps scam the restaurant, the restaurant scams the costumers, the restaurant scams the app, you bet the restaurant also scams the government and then they all go and cry about it

If the quality of my food doesn't go up, if the quality of the place doesn't go up, if the quality of the experience doesn't go up, if you claim to be increasing the living quality of your staff but don't remove the option to leave tips, if portions don't increase, if service doesn't become faster then why would the food become more expensive?
>>
>>21603513
>why would the food become more expensive?
supply and utility costs such as the price of ingredients, materials, tools, electricity, gas and taxation.
get off the internet kid
>>
>>21602613
Time. Money. The fact that I dont give a shit about cooking for anyone but myself and my family, and I can make 2x more money doing a dozen other things
>>
>>21603520
Well too bad for you, it seems like a you problem I'm not the one running a restaurant... Maybe, I don't know? You should do that better?
Meanwhile I'll just find another place that won't stiff me while serving the same food you offer.
Ever notice how when the economy is doing poorly it's always the shitty restaurants that start increasing the bill while more exclusive ones that use higher quality ingredients and serve more complex dishes stay the same?
>>
>>21602613
>>it's a small place with cheap rent and low cost utilities
These don't exist where I live

>What Stops You From Doing This?
The trade of between scamming people and look in the mirror.
>>
>>21603503
>and Chinese people do "app hack" by installing multiple apps and deleting and creating new accounts so they always go for the cheapest most discounted option
This is not a chinese thing, many people do this because the point of the app is to squeeze a deal out of a restaurant. I believe the rest of your post less because you imply that this is a chinese behavior and not a general one for app-users.
>>
>>21603513
>why would the food become more expensive?
Because everything trends towards being more expensive over time due to inflation, retard. Upping the price of a food item by minuscule amounts gradually is the most honest way to do it.
>>
>>21603133
What stops you from overthrowing your government? Seems to be happening all over the world now.
>>
>>21603503
Retard.
>>21604191
Yeah, literally everybody does it.
>>
>>21606262
What's the point, the next government will be just as corrupt. The very concept of government leads to corruption. It's impossible to have a government that cares about its citizens. We are just interchangeable units of work, easily replaced with any other unit of work from across the globe.
>>
>>21606305

Bro, I'm only 30 and I've overthrown my government three times already. You have no excuses.
>>
>>21606276
I'd date Eli, no homo

>>21602613
I honestly don't get why people open restaurants at all it's such a shitty business.
>competition out of the ass
>have to employ and deal with minimum wage losers/felons/jeets/etc to be turn a profit
>have to restock fresh ingredients every single fucking day
>storage is a pain in the ass
>liable to rot, infestations, etc.
>some of the worst customers out there that will bitch and moan if everything isn't gonna be perfect (it's not)
I genuinely don't see why would you spend money on opening a business like that. You have the money, do literally anything else. And I especially can't comprehend people that look around, see 3 pizza places within 200 meters, and think it's a great idea to open a 4th one. It's really no wonder most businesses fail.

>>21606276
Not only taking her to McD's but also using a scam so he doesn't pay.
A smart woman would understand that this man is a true provider when the hard times get harder.

most restaurants do not own the land so they have to pay rent
even if food and labor stays the same, landlords never leave a dollar on the table
