In between this and fork/knife, spork, fork, spoon, and hands, this is by far the worst piece of cutlery designed ever.
>inb4, "oh you just don't know how to use it properly"
I know.

Git gud, noob.

They allow you to manipulate food with more precision, that's about it, a fork is superior in about every way and I eat ramen with a fork at home. I only learned to use chopsticks so I don't look like a pillock eating out with friends lol.

Fork is way more efficient but the chopstick/slurp the broth combo just feels right for noodles.

Why can't you slurp while using a fork? Who stopped you?
>>
i personally dont like to use them BUT one time i worked in a sushi restaurant. The owners were a thai couple. Sometimes and wife would work the fry station....using chopsticks. I dont think she every actually touched anything with her bare hands. It blew my fucking mind what she was able to do with them. I guess if you grow up using them its no biggie.

What did she touch?

Thai people use forks and spoons, not chopsticks

Forks are harder to wash as stuff can get caked in the crevices

At home I use a fork for ramen but if I go out to a ramen or sushi place I have a pair of dipshit kids chopsticks because using a fork in places like that doesn't sit right with me.

It's objectively the best utensil for delicate solids that do fit in a spoon and can't be pierced with a fork without destroying them, like sushi or chips. I use them for cocoa covered marzipan potatoes i often make.
>>
>>21605827
You're an absolute fucking retard
>>
>>21605843
You're not ready for this conversation, too culturally conditioned, quite literally an NPC.
>>
>>21605944
Yes sorry I'm a NPC, because I don't eat chips with chopsticks or make marzipan potatoes. Sorry, I'll join in. I eat peanuts with chopsticks, it stops me shovelling handfuls in my mouth lol. I also use them for my deep fried caramel celery with strawberry coulis, it stops my fingers from getting sticky lol

Many fat people would unironically benefit from this, gastric bypass works on the same principle more or less. People not suffering from a severe will deficiency wouldn't benefit at all, though.
>I also use them for my deep fried caramel celery with strawberry coulis, it stops my fingers from getting sticky lol
You can stab celery with a fork just fine without ruining it just fine, unlike sushi or chips.

Your poor analogies aren't helping the NPC allegations.
>>

You can't stab your marzipan potatoes? Is that correct? Also, if you have to use cutlery to pick up your chips (mentally ill) are you saying that you aren't dexterous enough to pick them up between the prongs of your fork?
>>
>>21605205
I only use them when snacking at the computer, i tried eating ramen with them and i just took too long and i dont like to slurp. Fork + spoon is way better, you can twirl some noodles around the fork and then use the spoon to add toppings to each bite
>>
chopsticks stimulate a certain part of the brain that a fork/spoon does not.
westerners wouldn't understand, obviously.

How much copium did the fag that edited this huff?
>>
>>21605205
What people don't realize is Japanese chopsticks are superior because the way they taper at the tip. Being more narrow than Korean or Chinese chopsticks that have thicker tips, this allows more precision in grabbing minute pieces of food.

I like eating noodles with them but yeah I don't see why you choose this to eat rice dishes
