my local pizza shop used to make panini with pizza dough, was very good, even better than some of the pizzas.

I also look for whoever has the best garlic knots in town, as well. Chances are if they do subs, that the hot subs will be on point like their eggplant or chicken parm, but any cold cuts sub will usually have premium cuts and very fresh salad toppings. Win win, but the desserts will be amazing too.
