I think the problem with British food is even if it is somewhat complex to make, all British food looks like it was made by some retard who didn't care and threw something together in minutes. Looks are a big part of eating, and when everything looks like it either came from a box in the freezer or that Johnny took 3 minutes out of playing FIFA to throw something quickly into a toaster oven, that it's an issue to everyone that didn't grow up eating it.

there's no proof beef wellington came from britain. the only evidence we have points to it being of usa origin
>>
>>21609924
It's good, savoury and hearty.
Only people who dislike British food are browns and faggots who have never had it and think that "British food" is just aspic and jellied eels (nevermind that most British people have never had either).
>>
>>21609924
I think it's pretty good, and I lived in UK for three years. I enjoy the taste of it, and it's not nearly as bland as people claim it to be. It has flavors, spices, and important sauces. Sure, it's not as fancy, but it definitely beats the look of Finnish easter desserts
>>
>>21609956
>pigs came from africa
You mean central Europe and Asia actually.
>>21609956
>so british food is immigrant food
boy, that's a stretch, given that it was the most homogenous populace for the longest time
It's also a stretch to state that national dishes like curries are immigrant foods, when these populations came from actual British colonial protectorates. Even vindaloo is likely NEVER pork based anymore.

What experience have you got with British food and with homemade versions of other countries' dishes?

Colonials are not British and will never be.

Best food in the third world (europe) second only to the USA which is the greatest country on Earth by most metrics. Love me some wellington and child cornish pasty.

it's heavily overjudged because its funni to be racist to wypipo

full english is fucking amazing. that alone justifies any genocides the british have done
>>
>>21609924
No, it's not in the actual shit tier of global food like finnish. When executed well it's basically just endless variations of comfort food or roast meat which isn't top tier but not terrible just kinda forgettable.
>>
>>21609924
The two main flavors of England are vinegar and onions, so depends on if you like those two. Personally I think it's fine but gets a bit monotonous.
>>
>>21609924
It's honestly not that bad, just overmemed becuase it's funny to make fun of the real bad things they have. Nothing has ever set me up for a day like a Full English does whenever I visit my relatives who moved to Bongland.

>the greatest country on Earth by most metrics
well, you do suck the most dick so there are some things where you're number one
>>
>>21609924
No, it entirely depends on the place.
I went to a trip around the british isles, London, Glasgow/Edinburgh, Dublin.
Ate fish and chips in London from a random store I walked into. Was so bad I had to throw it away and I usually don't throw away food. The food in the hotel was also not good, with those weird breakfast mushrooms and tomatoes and beans.
In Glasgow due to some mixup with the hotel the first night I spent in the big boy Hilton, incl. breakfast. Ate haggis and lorne sausage. It was pretty good.
Later ate fish&chips in some pub. That was good. Also had fried mars bar, also good.
In Edinburgh I had some pies, also good.
In Dublin everything was good.

I think it was just London because London seemed like a city only mentally ill urbanites can enjoy living in.
>>
>>21609924

its a pre boomer meme from when there was rationing during ww2, and a long period after, and people would have to eat unseasoned offal to survive.

Personally i think the core dishes done properly are better than most other countries in europe. and cheeses are the best on the planet, and stilton is the best of those.

I've never had english food in England but I've had cornish pasties, pork pies, sausage rolls, bangers and mash, shepherd's pie, and fish and chips made in the US and they were all pretty fucking good. British sausage in particular is great, probably my second or third favorite foreign sausage after Germany and Poland
>>
>>21613034
I guess it must have been a texture thing during the war rationing so that you weren't just eating the exact same thing day after day, I can't imagine anyone there still eats those today
>>
>>21613229
It was made for invalids in the 1860s, and was basically forgotten after that until the 2010s. I don’t think anybody eats it seriously.

You should keep an eye open for the pork pies. There are some very good ones about in Yorkshire.
There's also the ones from Leicestershire, named after Melton Mowbray, but they're a different style; they use uncured pork, whereas Yorkshire style pork pies use cured pork.

Toast sandwich was revived for a soft-news shitpost after having one random mention in an obscure book 200 years ago. The closest equivalent actual bong food would be something like a chip butty or regional things like pie in a roll.

>>21614621
>>21614753
Any curry they make using tomatoes, chili or potatoes literally can't have existed before trade with europeans.
>>
>>21614798
Did it ever occur to you that maybe, just maybe, the non-European world had it's own trade independent of Europe? Or can your Eurocentric mind not even comprehend of places existing before they were "discovered" by Europeans?
>>

Nobody likes Indian (feather not dot) food outside of like five things
>>
>>21609924
British food is fine. All the bitching about it comes from one twitter meme that listed a few obscure meme foods that nobody actually eats like le toast sandwich. You have to be a complete tastelet to think a full english breakfast or a beef wellington is le bad.
>>
>>21609924
British food iss so popular that most people don't even recognise it as British anymore. Roast beef, apple pie, sandwiches, mac&cheese, fried chicken, chicken tikka, etc. are some of the most popular foods in the world.
