peanut oil

Too many impurities in your oil, my guess. You gotta clean the oil after each round or so of frying. If you're frying for >45 minutes, that's at least 3 rounds using food that seems to release a lot of particles (guessing, something with bread crumbs?). Starting with fresh clean oil also helps.
>>
Use lard or tallow.
>>
>>21611999
but i cant see the particles in order to predict when it will happen also im using one of those mini deep fryers so its not easy to replace and strain and reuse
>>

do the cornstarch trick
>>
>>21611982
You're supposed to swap the oil cartridge filter once in a while, dummy.
>>
>>21612033

Only correct answer
Deep frying in seed oils is dumb as fuck
>>
>>21612392
make a cornstarch+water slurry
put it in the oil and stir it around until it solidifies then pull it out and toss it
>>
>>21612549
I'll try that, gelatin is getting expensive
>>
>>21612539

What are you deep frying for 45 minutes or longer? A turkey?
>>
>>21612681
you reuse the stuff you don't throw it away after frying one thing
>>
>>21612549
>dump water into the fry oil
Nice try asshole
>>
>>21612689
You dump water into fry oil to clean it with gelatin
You wait for it to cool, first, then warm it up until it just dissolves the gelatin and starts to bubble and turn it back off
>>
>>21612685
>you don't throw it away after frying one thing
Ohhhhhhh but I do. I have an oil hole in my back yard. That's why I'm confused.

I dug a two foot hole in an unused corner of my yard and put some sand and gravel at the bottom. with a chicken wire covering. I dump my used cooking oil in the oil hole. When it starts to stink I pour in some bleach. It is my problem because I own my home.
