Would you eat at the dementia restaurant?
Sure, why not
>>21612690Taco Bell does the same thing and I enjoy it
This could only work in Japan where the culture has the population paralyzed in fear of disrupting the social harmony or whatever
>>21612690Yeah maybeThere's an old woman like that on my block, I've had the same conversation every time I see her
>>21612716Did you miss the part where they are informed before they order that they'll be getting it wrong?
>>21612690As long as they don't forget to wash their hands after using the loo...
>>21612690i forget
>>21612690This is most fast food restaurants. I see no problem here.
>>21612723Do you think that would matter to some customers?
I stopped making fun of old people when it dawned on me how ostracized they are and how rapid aging starts to feel
>>21612751>Go to a place that will get your order wrong>Agree>Your order is wrongThey go there for the novelty of it, not because they want a specific dish. If they did they'd go elsewhere.
>every server has dementia>37% orders incorrectThat's literally better than tim horton's
>>21612690If a person has something like alzheimer's(~70% of dementias) that has progressed to the point of getting over a third of their orders wrong then they'll eventually be forgetting their shifts and becoming increasingly labile and easily frustrated with mundane things before too long. Some types of dementia are non-progressing, like vascular dementia after a stroke. In that case the damage is done to the person's cognitive faculties but it's not going to get worse unless they have another stroke that hits the same part of the brain. These sorts of dementias are the minority. It begs the question of how honest they are about helping out the servers with tools to aid with memory, recall and information-keeping. If you give a person with dementia who is honestly trying a card with their name on it and the menu options, they can circle the customer's order when they give it, write the table number before they leave the table(can be displayed on the table itself), hand it to back of house, and wait for back of house to call their name and the table number to take the completed order over. If they're giving minimal help to these old people then they'll be getting the orders wrong much more often just to push the gimmick of the restaurant. Then given long enough the server will be arguing with the customers that the order was correct after asking them and having nothing to reference to reorient themselves. They will become more easily angry an eventually aggressive, as is the progression of alzheimer's. They'll be shitting and pissing themselves a lot too.Other anon was right that this would only work in a place like Japan, but that's because not many countries have a population with enough old people that you could go through dementia-riddled geriatric people they way McDonald's goes through teenagers. Because people with progressing dementias will not be working there for too long before becoming unfit for employment in food service. Thanks for reading my blog
>>21612762In America ~10% of customers would complain that their order was wrong and threaten to sue if they don't get a refund
>>21612770They can't sue if they enter an agreement that the order could and probably will be wrong. They are informed and by ordering they accept the conditions.
>>21612690It seems mean to me. I wouldn't really want to be served by old people who can't remember my order and are likely hunched over and struggling to walkElders with dementia shouldn't have to work. They should spend all their time with their families, and especially with their grandchildren.
>>21612777>They can't sueYou are incredibly wrong about that. They can't *win*. That doesn't stop them from suing.
>>21612780Do you think they're enslaved or something? They want to be there and it's much better for them than drooling in a recliner 24/7 while their remaining brainmass rots.
As long as the cooks are functional people and not retarded oldfucks possibly. Though I bet these servers will magically never "forget" to charge you for what you ordered instead of what you get.
>>21612785Good luck finding a lawyer that will take the case where there's no breach of contract.
>>21612794The cooks are normal people. The servers are the ones with dementia. >Though I bet these servers will magically never "forget" to charge you for what you ordered instead of what you get.But what if you order a super cheap dish and end up getting something much more expensive?
>>21612800They'll just ask for like 5 grand up front
>>21612780Bro it's Japan. Their families are busy working 14 hours a day and there are no grandkids.
>>21612813lawyers don't like losing cases because it gives them a bad name. 5 grand isn't worth the loss of reputation. they have a professional reputation within the court system as well and most lawyers dont want to be known as the guy who loses 100% of his cases and only defends retards
>>21612715Kek. For me its Hardee's when I ask for no may and no ketchup and they take that as double.
>>21612690No, I don't want to be reminded of watching my grandma slip away.
>>21612786Maybe they are slaves and don't remember that they didn't want to work there. How would they know anything other than what they're told?
>>21612974The Japanese aren't like that.
>>21612690Ahhhso Japanese. Where even a bad thing becomes a good thing... provided you pay enough. The food is probably folded over 1000 times too.
>food made by downies>food made by guys with AIDS>food made by the dementedAmazing that people keep sitting there, furrowing their brow as they try to think of a new answer to "who would you not want making your food?"
>>21612981haha. lol
>>21612690Only 99% of customers reported leaving happy, which means there was at least one Japanese guy who was like>wtf this old senile pice of shit fucked up my order I want to talk to their manager>I hate this place>1 star, would not come back>$0 tip>Genocide all boomers NOWWhich one of you was it, /ck/?>>21612690
No, my grandma has dementia/alzheimers and its basically the most annoying disease you can possibly have to everyone around you. You become just an insane, nonsensical toddler who is a burden to others. They have angry outbursts and tantrums like a child, don't understand anything, freak out about things that don't exist, cant clean up after themselves, cant take care of themselves, can't be left unsupervised or else they do something retarded, all while being 95 years old.Being around people with dementia is exhausting its the worst shit ever.
>>21613242Some Veteran of WWII started thinking he was Filipino because he was tanned and attacked him
>>21612716I'm sure they're so afraid that they can't just go to a different restaurant. No, this works because they don't have niggers
>>21612690This is basically what it's like when blacks serve you in Western countries
>>21613242the 1 dissatisfied customer probably got exactly what he ordered, he was disappointed because he expected a surprise
Old lady ass
>>21612690why are these old fuckers still working?
>>21612690>oldladiespoisoningyou.jpgIt clearly says they're servers, not cooks, retard.
>>21612751>walk into Dick's Last Resort>before you're even seated, the server turns to you>"sir, just be aware we offer intentionally mean and sarcastic service, don't expect smiles and compliments""sure whatever">"Okay, what can I get a fat piece of shit like you?""UH EXCUSE ME WHERE'S THE FUCKING MANAGER THIS IS COMPLETELY INAPPROPRIATE"
>>21612723>Implying Americans wouldn't still scream at the staff, shit themselves, threaten to shoot up the restaurant and leave a 15% tip despite being informed
>>21612690For me, it's AIDS restaurants.
>>21612690maybe I already did
>>21613658Don't get the fear desu, unless they're bleeding onto your food and you start rubbing it into an open cut you're not gonna get the bug
>>21612690>Humiliation ritual: the Restaurant
Maybe not because I have serious allergies
>>21612829The kind of person who agrees to taking 5 grand up front to put in minimal effort in a case he knows he'll lose probably doesn't give a shit about being in the top 1% of reputation because money is money. That's called working in a niche, whether that be drunk driving, maritime law, or being dishonest and bad at your job so you take up cases like these from people who can't get reputable lawyers to represent them for easy money.>but are there really lawyers dishonest and money-focused enough to-Yes.
>>21612690I ate at an autism pizzeria if that counts.i also didn't know because it was an office thing and i just followed the herd.only thing they did wrong was an extra pizza nobody ordered. i'm not sure we paid for it but i think so
>>21612769those grannies are probably full time on diapers
>>21613220>food made by the dementedonly the servers are demented
>>21613244thats why they're kept medicated and sedated
>>21613602because many people want to feel useful and functional even when their body and mind are failing. feeling like a useless sack of shit hits your ego hard
>>21613660Nothing to fear. I already got the lovers blessing.
>>21614421I ate at a pizza joint when I was visiting Colorado, and im pretty sure our server and his trainee were autists. >server: Hi, im Kevin and this is Liam, im you're server and he'll be shadowing me since he's new>trainee: squints eyes>trainee: our specials tonight are hot pepperoni and the margherita...>server: Liam, what do we say first>trainee: oh god oh god oh god>server: hahahaha we're gonna step away and try this again hahaha ha>me: ok...>server: Hi, im kevin, and Liam here will be shadowing me, but he has something to tell you. Liam go ahead?>trainee: hahaha, oh boy. Well. Hahaha. My name isn't really Liam. It's Steve! Hahaha!server: hahaha ha sorry about that. Isn't that wild. Would you like to hear our specials now?I should've sprinted out but thank God I didn't, those god darn weirdos made some great pizza
>>21614504>My name isn't really Liam. It's Steve!good lord
Is there anything scarier than dementia?
>>21614952Finding cancer at a point where it can no longer be cured and where you'll only have uncertain X months left to live.Dementia absolutely sucks, but at least it's not a physically painful condition.
>>21614421>puts exactly 36 pepperoni pieces on your pizza
I'm more of a Downies and Brownies enjoyer myself
>>21612690It's like a box of chocolates!
>>21612690easy lawsuit boys, get some weak nigga with an allergy and then the server forgets and kills em hahaha FREE MONEY GANG
>>21612722Maybe she thinks you have dementia
>>21612690>Dementia >:(>Dementia, Japanese :O(|======B
Imagine if those people knew one day they would have dementia and be paraded around a novelty restaurant like a fucking circus freak.
>>21612690>manager doesn't pay his workers>they don't remember anywayOnly way a restaurant like this can stay open
>>21615337That is incredibly cynical. The servers don't have severe dementia. They have early stage or mild dementia. One of the best thing for old people with that condition is being social and feeling like they have a purpose. They tend to wither away and die like a neglected houseplant when they're shoved in a room and treated like they're useless burdens.
>>21615418Bicycle thieves.
How the fuck would you make sure they all wash their hands?
>>21615353Stfu fuckface. They are being exploited and there is nothing dignified about senior citizens being reduced to min wage server work.
>>21615434lol try harder
>>21615434They probably work because they want to. Better to have something to do than just rot away.
>>21612690I'm not really a picky eater and if I knew what the gimmick was probably not. It depends on if the food they brought out looked good or not but I imagine some little old Japanese grandma would make something really comforting to eat.
>>21612722I can say the same for a 30 year old man I know
>>21613660The average person consumes 40lbs of human blood in food every year.
>>21612690That's already any fast food restaurant, and at least the dementia ridden old women have a chance of remembering not to shit all over the place
>>21612715Very hardy KEK. Thank you, Anon. I hope you have a really good day
>>21612690Seems kinda cruel to make elderly demented people work for our amusement.
>>21615418Spiders
>>21612690Dunno. I’ve forgotten.
>>21615623Why would the statistic be labeled in weight when blood is a fluidThe only fluid I know that gets labeled by weight is honey, why would they measure the blood in weightHow would they measure the blood in weight, for that matterWhat the fuck
>>21612690>Would you eat at the dementia restaurant?Sure, if it looked like the mistakes aren't cross-contamination issues. I don't need Hep A from other diners.I kind of imagine this is actually successful in Japan. This is a society that respects the elderly. I always have loyalty to businesses who employ Down's syndrome employees. Good for them.
>>21612690>demented elders used as kawai props for thrill-seeking consoomerssickening Japanese "people"
>>21613657Kek. This.
>i’ll have the usual
>>21613660If I go to a restaurant I'd like the staff qualifications to be something like "experienced cook" or "friendly attitude" not "let so many niggers tear up his asshole he has HIV now"
>>21615981Most people who catch HIV nowadays are straight men
>>21612690I miss Francis
>>21612690I might visit once for novelty. Not going second time unless the food is really good.
>>21615623what was the sample size?1 dude in opera attire in transylvania?
>>21615674You'd 100% have workers followed home because they are easier targets to rob and rape/kill
>>21612812Hilarious that waiters expect 20% tips for doing what a person with dementia can do, carry a plate 10 feet.
