I never clean my water bottle. Do you clean your water bottle?

Water is food right?m0ka0
>>
I wiped a layer of slime off the mouthpiece of my bottle today. good as new!

Now youre just making kombucha
>>
Depends on how you define cleaning or reusable water bottles. I typically don't put my lips on my hydroflask and I rinse and scrub it with hot water every time i refill it. Clean it with soap every 2 week or month.
>>
I have a glass water bottle so when it starts to look cloudy I scrub it with soap and a brush and then rinse it out with vodka.
>>

I used to wash mine frequently with hot water, soap and hot water, and occasionaly I would create a salty solution to really help scrape off stuff at the bottom and sides, and then wash that again. So no, I dont think the study applies to mine.

Also mine was a stainless steel type of thermos thing I'd usually use for coffee but sometimes also ice water or ice + gatorade

yes i always rinse off any container before I consume whatever's in it. there's a thin film of filth on the surface of retail products, you can feel it being removed under the faucet and then it's squeaky clean
>>
>(((study)))

My main is a big stainless steel bottle that I haven't washed in two years. I do cycle a lot of water through it and it doesn't have a sippy mouthpiece though
>>
I just buy a bottle of water and refill it for like a week and then buy a new bottle of water.
>>
>>21617583
big microplastic fan?
>>
>>21617590
That's why I get rid of them after a week retard. If they are strong enough to hold the water for months waiting for me to buy it they can take a week of tap water.
>>
>>21617366
i drink water out of drinking glasses.
>>
>>21617592
if your neurons weren't packed full of plastic you might see a difference between sitting on a shelf and being carried and refilled over a week
>>
>>21617366
One day, toilet seats will be found to be the most clean things pn the planet.
>>
>>21617366
OMG they have GERMS ON THEM???
>>
>>21617366
Are you retarded, or did you have a stroke?
What are we supposed to do with that piece of clickbait you've attached? My fermented vegetables and the yoghurt in my fridge probably have multiple times more bacteria, I don't give a shit.
>>
You clean your cups and dishes (I hope), why wouldn't you clean your bottle?
I've been using the same bottle for years and clean it with soap every day and soap/vinegar once a week.
>>
>>21617366
ive been drinking out of the same plastic water bottle for years
>>
>>21617366
I don’t clean my water bottle enough and it often grown this black mold in certain crevices on the screw on lid and the part you drink from.
>>
>>21617366
some call it a health hazard I call it immune system gym day
>>
>>21617366
>more bacteria than a toilet seat
Perhaps but is the bacteria itself more dangerous than the toilet bacteria? this is like saying being in room A is more dangerous than being in room B despite their being a tiger in room B and 5 bunnies in room A just because there is technically more animals in A than B
>>
Juices and sports drinks are surprisingly safe because their acidity inhibits bacterial growth.
However, if you leave the stains in your water bottle and then fill it with water or tea, the risk increases.
>>
I spray running alcohol on and in it when it smells, otherwise no

Yes. My wife and I have four bottles between us and kiddo has his own two. We switch between them daily and three will get dishwashered at least every other day.
IE
I've got black and silver bottles, wife has a bottle with a rubber exterior and another with a handle and kiddo has two identical bottles with, like, a tropical leaf design or whatever.
Monday, I used my black one, wife used the handled one and kiddo used one of his two; the silver, rubber and other tropical one went into the dishwasher after dinner than night and we swapped the Monday bottles for those on Tuesday. Makes sense?
Sometimes, we use the same bottle two days in a row.
>>
>>21617366
toilet seat bacteria are actually healthy, they protect from autism
>>
>>21617366
So i should start drinking from dog bowls and toilets?
>>
>>21617366
I just throw mine in the dishwasher every night. WTF is wrong with you people?
>>
>>21617366
It's easy to skip and put it off for a long time because some water bottles can be large and unwieldy to clean but yeah you should. Stuff can fester in there, man.
>>
>>21617366
Why does this matter again? If my water bottle has more bacteria on it but it never makes me sick where is the issue here?
>>
>>21618160
Are you complaining about the clickbait article headline or on the recommendation to clean your water bottle? It could make you sick eventually, and will certainly eventually influence the smell and flavor of the water inside if the inner walls and straw are grimy and moldy.
>>
>>21617366
>People don't wash their water bottles before refilling
>They get dirty
No shit? There's more bacteria in your mouth than your ass.
>>
>>21617366
>more bacteria
Vague and useless metric
>>
What can I do? Piss on the dog?
>>
>>21617366
if it's not making me sick, I don't care.
>>
I reuse 1l glass bottles. But I exchange them every few months or so
>>
>>21617873
How many water bottles does your wife’s boyfriend have?

Good
Exposing myself to more bacteria strengthens my immune system
>>
>>21617366
No because I fill mine with delicious chlorinated tap water that destroys all pathogens
>>
>>21617366
are you brown? can you curse vishnu's name for me?
