Who was the target demographic for these things?
>>
>>21621441
People with eating disorders. Even the things I consume must be skinni(tm)

>plant-based sweeteners
lol
>>
>>21621987
Sugar canes are plants
>>
>>21621990
yeah i know, it's just funny to say that and try to make soda seem healthier when the majority of sugar used is already plant-based. corn syrup is a plant-based sweetener too.
>>
>>21622001
Funny because of what you said but also because what I see hiding beside the words is:
(manufacturing) plant-based sweeteners
>>
>>21622001
monkfruit is at least better than aspartame at least. i use it to sweeten my oatmeal. it doesn't have any weird aftertaste but it's not as sweet as sugar so you need to add a lot more equivalent which is a little annoying.

i'd try the coke out of novelty but that's it
>>
i've never owned a vehicle with a cupholder that will support the slim can
maybe vehicles that females drive have slim can cup holders but for everyone else these things are getting spilled
>>21621450
this was not disgusting at all. it was good. consider all the stupid variations they've released since "oh this one tastes like space and was made by AI" and this one stands out as good
>>
>>21621441
Coke with coffee is good actually, I have had it in the past before they made the canned version. The other two in your image look like marketing efforts to get the "healthy" crowd drinking more sodas and getting the already fat and unhealthy people that normally drink their products every day drink more.

theres a coffee cola that tastes 99.9% like coke coffee. Fitz coffee cola.
>>
>>21621441
Idk but Coke coffee sounds like an upper class thing. For the same demographic that buy lathes or boats.
>>
>>21621441
So normal diet Coke's sweeteners aren't plant based? What the hell are they?

lmao, doesn't he famously love diet coke?
>>
diet coke tastes better than all other cokes
also dont buy the coffee one, just add a shot of espresso to your regular cola
>>
>>21623213
That's the joke.
>>
>>21623381
I may actually try this, any suggestions on the ratio?
>>
>>21623401

>>
>>21623401
just one or 2 shots depending on how strong you like your coffee i guess
>>

nu-males and metrosexuals.
>>
>>21623409
I like it pretty strong, I might snag some of those mini cans to try it with since I hardly ever drink sweetened soda
>>
for me, it's calorie-free, caffeine free coke zero. The healthy choice.

modern marketing research supports variation above anything else. coke with coffee was designed for older, more wealthy demographics (apparently it was a hit), diet coke plus was a health-centered variation targeted towards women, and the plant based sweetener one was made for the environmentally conscious. the number of different ragu pasta sauces is another good example of this shit.
>>
Coke coffee was based

I started working in an office with 90% women. Those bitches drink 4-5 diet cokes a day, it is crazy. There were arguments about one girl stealing anothers diet cokes more than once. Me and my buddy had a vision, so we talked to our boss. We found a soda machine at an auction for cheap, and put it in the hallway by the bathrooms. We ended up profiting over $500 a month from that machine. Then covid came, and we all worked from home so I sold the machine.
>>
>>21626229
>I personally installed a soda machine at my place of work.
Yeah, totally believable bro
>>
>>21626272
sounds believable to me. most places i've worked had a vending machine.
>>
>>21626300
Reread the post
>>
>>21626393
is it really outside the realm of possibilities that someone asked their boss to install a vending machine and they said yes?
>>
>>21626398
It's not out of the realm of possibilities that Leprechauns exist. The question is what's more realistic - that the boss okayed him to bring in a 200 pound appliance (which he then filled with varieties of cola that he also bought and paid for) that he used to generate independent revenue for himself, or that he's larping on an anime website.
>>
>>21626407
>gets limited information
>makes up the rest of the story in his head
you're kind of stupid anon. maybe the boss was cut in on the deal? plus not everyone works in big corporations with strict policies. i was a mechanic and my boss let me work on my friends cars in the shop, using his building and his equipment all for free.
wanna know why? because he wasn't a stingy faggot
>>
>>21626416
Ok
>>
>>21626407
It is literally what I did lmao, I got the cans from costco for .48 cents each and sold them for $1
>>
>>21626447
Ok
>>
>>21626416
You kinda did uncover my secret. The boss was cut in, but only in the sense that we saved the money up and bought all inclusive tickets to hockey games every other month, and took him
>>
>>21626407
Are you a woman
>>
>>21626502
Ok
>>
>>21621441
People who liked energy drinks and/or diet coke but were always complaining that they "wanted to get off the habit". New gimmick brought them in, but not enough interest to keep these products going long-term I guess. Same with coke life.
Plus they have already started to cut other areas of fat like Tab (RIP) and vanilla coke.
>>
Miss coke life
>>
>>21626407
>The question is what's more realistic - that the boss okayed him to bring in a 200 pound appliance (which he then filled with varieties of cola that he also bought and paid for) that he used to generate independent revenue for himself
You know this is exactly how all vending machine companies operate, right?
>>
>>21627855
You know one person not working for a vending machine company isn't a vending machine company right
>>
>>21621441
This is just how soda companies, and retail in general, works. Consumers have a high drive to try out new things, so they constantly set aside about 10% of their inventory for "innovation". These products are designed to be tried once or twice, then pulled from shelves after a few months to make room for the next thing. If Coke isn't constantly doing this, they'll lost that 10% to Pepsi or whatever.

Its also why new startups think they have a hit on their hands in the fist month, then go under within a year. The novelty factor is strong.

Nouve-rich Indians/Chinese.
>>
>>21627770
Same. Used to get a coke life and a jerk chicken platter at a restaurant on my undergrad campus, then sit there scrolling 4chan and people watching. Those were the days
>>
>>21621441
>Who was the target demographic for these things?
I saw Coke Blak recently in a market in a small town grocery market accessible by plane or 2 hour boat ride in Costa Rica, Tortuguera. I hadn't seen it once in the US since the original launch. I did not buy it, but I didn't hate it when it was new /shrug
>>
Probably someone thirsty
>>
>>21621441
>coffee
Doesn't sound like the worst
>coke plus
Soda addicted wanting to lose weight or normal people that think diet coke is good, zero calorie and shit so having "vitamins and minerals" is a good addition, retards in general. see >>21623516
>muh plant based
Cucks. Stevia tastes like shit
>not a thread about cooking
>not a thread about food
