When I was a kid my father took me to England to visit the white half of my family and my aunt there served me Lasagna, I've never had it before up until that point (i only knew it existed thanks to Garfield) so I was pretty excited to try it but when I tasted it was super fucking bland. My mom tried to make it for me years later and she added tuna to it for some reason and I really liked it. Now Lasagna is in my top 5 favorite dishes.
Watermelon, hated it as a kid but now I can go through half of one in a day.
Dill, feta and Sun-dried tomatoes. Love them all now.
I used to hate breaded fried mushrooms, but for some reason started liking them and now they are one of my favorite
Vegetables in general.Mom thought the only way to eat healthy was for meals to feel like a punishment

>>21625124Exactly the same for me, also add olives
Plenty. All because my mother is a shit cook.

Used to hate pickles as a kid, I'd pick them off my McD's burgers all the time. Now though I love them. Pickled okra, pickled asparagus, pickled string beans, gimme all of it.
>>21627821I used to be like that and now I have to stop myself from eating an entire jar of dill pickle chips
>>21625103Actually, lasagna for me too. I guess I only knew it at first from bland, plastic lasagna at places like Olive Garden. Later on I was convinced to try a bite of a friend's order from a better restaurant and it was really good. Just depends on the quality of it, it's easy to get it wrong.
Fish, bananas, yogurt.I barely ate during my teens so nowadays I eat whatever
Spinach. My mom never seasoned them so they were always fucking gross. Now that I make them myself I finally see the light. On that note, I'm out of lemon juice for my spinach tonight, would subbing out one of those single packs of avacado mash work instead?
Pretty much all the tastes of my childhood I didn't like, I still don't like in adulthood. Still hate bake beans and kidney beans. I don't mind black beans, but I was never given that as a kid. Was annoying as a kid them telling me I'll like this when I'm older. You were wrong.
>>21627867Yeah, people thought you'd turn out better.
>>21627873When a kid is not a picky eater, but just has a few things they don't like. It is on the adult to understand that hey maybe there is an issue. Maybe I should let that slide instead of being a hard ass about it. I was forced to eat stuff that later I found I had a medical intolerance to. Had a similar story cause I was always getting sick on long car rides. I was yelled at about this all the time. I had no clue I was getting motion sickness until years later.
>>21627867kidney beans I can kind of understand, but what did baked beans ever do to you?
Hated shrooms, love them now, especially on pizza, sandwiches, burgers, and zapiekanka.
