What are the best foods that a person living in their car can make?
if you camp in your car does that make it a camping car? also does you car have a kitchen? post pics
>>21626471No, it's a Toyota Camry. I'm just curious what I can do for food and stuff. Takeout is expensives.
>>21626427Get a butane camp stove.(or something similar)Get a pot and pan with lids, a big wooden spoon, a ladel, and tongs.Make whatever the fuck you want. Soups. Fried food. Baked goods. Doesn't matter.
>>21626478Idk how to use a butane camp stove lol
>>21626473sell the car you get monnies and can buy more takeout
>>21626483but then i got nowhere to sleep
>>21626484buy a tent with what's left from the car sale and takouts buys
>>21626487nuh
>>21626496skip the tent if you have a bivy bag
>>21626500whats that?
>>21626506a bivouac bag
>>21626509I don't understand.
I feel bad for OP. That guy responding to him is such a piece of shit. Shameful behavior
>>21626511thank you, fren <3
>>21626510like a little sleeping bag
>>21626482You put a pot on it, and turn it on. It will produce flame that will heat a pot. Make some one-pot meals with rice/pasta/etc.
>>21626519ohh. but i have a car. and i sleep inside of it.
>>21626523but if you sell your car you then you can afford takeout food. plus you wont have to worry about making food in your car because you wont have one
>>21626526that creates more problems though.
>>21626427
>>21626528oh shit, that's cool
>>21626427Have you been to a food bank yet? I think some of them get packaged ready made foods from grocery stores too (like pasta, sandwiches)
>>21626530Yeah back when I had a place but they take you through aisles and you get a cartful of stuff which is great but most of it has to be frozen or refrigerated.
>>21626528These things. Or a little portable propane grill. I got a coleman one I used for camping that has one sidevas a grill the other is like an actual stovetop. Its small but works great, I think I paid $80 for it but that was some years ago. Got a few cheap stainless pots to fit on it that were like $15 for 3 sizes.
>>21626427Get an inverter and a rice cooker, you can make all kinds of stuff in it, safely, in your carAlso get some charcoal and find a park grill for other foods
>>21626651Also ask /o/, those guys actually cook where most of the people here post pictures of takeout and snacks
store brand canned beans and store brand canned vegetables
>>21626427Stovetop popcorn with a diy tuna can stove and one of those disposable aluminium pansJust drive to a camp site, get some sausages, peppers and onions to roast on a stick, some hot sauce and a 40. A night to remember
>>21626522the heat of the chemical reaction cooks the food
>>21626527would getting a motorcycle solve those problems?
>>21626427trash tacos
>>21626653im pretty sure 25% of /out/ are homelessso GTF>>>>/out/
>>21626427better life choices
>>21626427Do you really feel that the frog there represents you? Are you deformed and upset in the face? Why do you identify with that "mascot"? I don't understand any of it. Are you really so fat?
>>21626427You can open up a can of beans.
>>21626913Also watch out for Bigfoot
Washing dishes while doing car life sounds more troublesome than cooking.
>>21626427If you're down on your luck, I really hope you find a good job soon and get back on your feet. You may want to spend some time researching what parts of the country are doing a bit better when it comes to hiring people and move there. As for foods, I guess beans and rice since you can buy those things inexpensively and store them. All you'll need is a means of heating water which you can do with a portable gas stove that some have mentioned or you can steal electricity from certain places and use a portable heating element. You can season the food with spices which should keep and maybe some canned foods like tomatoes. I'm not sure what to do about meats. I don't know if any canned meat is any good or inexpensive. Dried meat is probably expensive as is stuff like sausages that don't need refrigeration.
>>21627010nah /out/ and /trv/ got ruined by covid unfortunately, they're just /v/ and /ck/ reskins now.
>>21626427don't listen to these retards, OP. Get you a portable cooker like this that uses replaceable compressed gas canisters, or like>>21626528posted. I'm not personally a fan of anything that could be a drain on the car's battery due to my own experiences but do whatever you need to do. With something like that you can make literally whatever anyone makes. As long as you have a fire, especially one that you can control, you can make food no different than people literally thousands of years have done. Worst comes to worst you can use it as a "pseudo microwave" and just heat up the bottoms of cans and eat straight out of those if you don't want to fuck with dirty dishes but still want a hot meal. Corn, beans, chili, all kinds of pastas, soups, beef stews, etc that you can eat straight from a can. It's not luxury for sure, but neither is living in a car. But canned food isn't all that bad, either. And incredibly cheap and filling as well. Plus not the worst thing ever, health wise. You should also look up homeless services in your area. You can contact your local police department or city council to see what they have that could help you out. Maybe hook you up with a shelter so you're not camping out in your car, especially as winter is closing in. I hope your situation is temporary, anon, and I truly do wish you the best of luck. I would rather my tax dollars go towards actual victims of circumstance such as yourself rather than niggers who come to this country just to ride free social bennies until they get locked up for their 7th child molestation charge and the govt stops humoring them and finally kicks them back to wherever the fuck they came from.
>>21627269you can get disposable paper dishes
and they're not even incredibly expensive, either. As you see here, it's like ~$40 for a grill like this, and if it's just one stovetop it's compact and can fit in your car when you're struggling for space. And as long as you're not a complete retard it can double as a heat source if it gets to that point as long as you don't burn your shit down with you in it.
>>21627481you can also get some of these small hotsauce bottles (or any other kind of sauce, really) to add to your food that actually gives it some kick and flavor. Usually you have to refrigerate shit like this after opening but at the size that they're at, you'd easily go through it before it goes bad if you enjoy the flavor enough to use every other meal or so. They're literally like a dollar a piece; my local Walmart has a rack full of shit like this. Hotsauce makes good food great and bad food alright.
OP is rich if he has a camping car.
>>21627540not if he's living in the car, you complete dumbass. rich people live in houses. he said he had a Toyota Camry literally in the second post of the thread.
>>21627475So cuteI wish raccoons were real>>21627548>anon is so poor he can't even pay attention
>>21627548Camping cars are not cheap. Educate yourself.
>>21627550>>21627557
>>21626427Mustard sandwich
>>21627126I'm disabled, anon.
>>21627245No, I'm much better looking but I like him.
>>21627271Thank you, fren
>>21627481Lmao where the fuck am I gonna keep that at? I have a Toyota Camry
>>21627473>just heat up the bottoms of cans and eat straight out of thosmmm phthalates
>>21627481That "Fuel Cartridge Injection safety feature" sounds more like a hazard.
>>21628313Ill phthalate your mom
>>21627791Also go to a food bank or food pantry, they really want you to take food from them
>>21628313oh no! anon is going to die at 75 instead of 98! He'll miss out on the dementia, diaper-wearing years where he's a shell of who he used to be and is a burden on those around him who miss him for what he was!he'll be fine heating up the can.
>>21627794It's literally 11 inches long, anon. Keep it in your floorboard or in the trunk. Or stowed away at work or some shit. Which I'm hoping you're doing, and not just NEET'ing from a car.
>>21627481>>21627473Having an open flame in a car isn't a smart move, particularly if it's filled with things like >>21627475 paper plates.
>>21626427car panini
>>21628643do it fag YLYL needs you.
>>21626513Fuck you, homeless people should be gassed.
>>21628749bro is not homeless, he got a camping car
>>21627473>I would rather my tax dollars go towards actual victims of circumstance such as yourselfYou don't know anything about his circumstance. Don't feel sorry for him. He might be a black person.
>>21628756oh damn he got it made then
>>21626427Wrap stuff in foil, put it on the engine and drive around for a while. Preferably things that don't have to actually cook to be safe to eat
>>21628759i didn't consider this possibility
>>21628502I'm on disability but I'm looking for work. Probably going to get my guard card.
>>21628759I'm Irish and Italian.
