Is it overrated?
>>
That milkshake looks like garbage.
>>
I hear it's loud as fuck. Like imagine running a blender for 15 minutes straight

I wear earmuffs when I use my vitamix. I imagine it's probably similar to that.
>>
Looks like a sex toy. You don't even have to change the name
>>
If you're health-conscious it's a good investment, otherwise I'd pass

Like 20 oz of decent coffee ice cream is 300 calories
>>
A pint of Halo Top cost $5

Each pint of Ninja Creami High Protein Low Cal Ice Cream will cost you $2.5. Startup costs are about $300.

It will take you about 120 pints of ice cream before the investment pays off.

??

How does it work? What fluids and solids does it need?
>>
>>21627213
the way it makes the product means you don't need much or any fat at all for a smooth result, unlike ice cream and regular ice cream makers

>is it overrated?
yes but it's still a good value
>I hear it's loud as fuck. Like imagine running a blender for 15 minutes
it's like 3 minutes, and it's less loud than my vitamix

it will pacojet almost anything that's not water, but for the best texture you want a certain ratio of liquid and fat/protein powder. for most mixes you have to re-spin it if you freeze it again but traditional ice cream recipes work great
>>
>>21627185
I'm not really concerned about the cost I care much more about the increase in taste quality you'll get from fresher ingredients
>>
>>21627106
it's a budget pacojet
>>
>>21627106
Not worth a fuck unless you have a big freezer.
>>
>>21627106
This is something you use twice then never again.

i could see it being fine for sorbet but isn't it going to make gritty ice cream? the point of making ice cream is to churn it and freeze it slowly so large ice crystals don't develop, this freezes it into a solid block and then tries to break down those ice crystals.

It's difficult to ever really feel like machines with intricate parts are ever really clean. More importantly people often store them out of sight when not in use, and psychologically this makes us hesitant to use something at all. They did experiments at google and it turns out everyone was getting fat because they had cheap sugary snack accessible at all times. If you hide the cheap sugar snacks and leave out infused water and nuts and stuff than people surprisingly will eat the infused water and nuts. We're lazy and thoughtless more than we are any other vice.
