>>21627692this is my first year growing my own tomatoes and i dont think i can ever eat another store bought tomato again
>>21628041Good for you bro! When I hear someone say tomatoes suck I always think they haven't had a good homegrown one.
My late season Sungolds are coming in, they are like candy. Unreal tasting.
>>21628088same bro and that is exactly how i described them to my mother. i called her about it because it was so crazyit was a weird year in new england with record rainfall in spring, record heat waves with 4-5 day durations in summer, then immediately got cold for a weeki only used 10-10-10 and horse manure and these things came out like candy. you almost can't believe what you're eating
>>21628091I live in the Midwest and we had periods of a lot of rain, I had some splitting problems early on that I never had before...usually after a big rainfall and increase in temp. These late season ones though, they are just next level. I am air sealing as many as I can for winter and jarring.
The only good tomatoes i have ever eaten were freshly picked. Everything else is watery disappointment
>go out to the garden>pick a tomat-ACKFlorida can be so gay sometimes
>>21627692>have tomato garden>go outside>caterpillar ate all of the tomatos and the tomato planthmm
>>21628227i always feel great when i go look at the plants and actually see one of these cocksucker camouflaged motherfuckers
>>21628041>>21627692I always thought tomato was shit when I was a kid. Thankfully I'm willing to give foods second and third chances, and I'm a polite guest so I tried some at someone's home. Home grown made all the difference.
>>21628227>>21628235Spray your plants with neem oil. I haven't seen a hornworm since I started doing that once every two weeks. >>21628088>>21628091This was my first year growing sun golds. I've gotten a lot of fruit, but a lot of them have split on the vine before getting fully ripe with the bottom still slightly green. I live in New England. Could this just be a product of the weird summer we've had?
>have tomato garden>go outside>pick tomato>eat>taste and texture is amazing>eternally seethe that i can't have this year-rounddamn you tomato
>>21627691>eat from the deadly nightshade familyNo thanks
