Just got back from a convention in Baltimore inner harbor, the entire place sucks. The harbor smells like sulfur and rotting trash, black underclass everywhere, not really that much too do, the food is overpriced and bad. Is there anywhere in or around Baltimore that doesn't suck and has good food at a reasonable price? Also do not eat at the Kona grill in inner harbor, almost $30 for three shitty shrimp tacos.

Hello, fellow Baltimore hater. Place is truly a shithole. I stopped going like 15 years ago because of how bad it was. Can't imagine how bad it is in this brave new world.

Yeah Baltimore is pretty crap. I go there once a year for a music festival and other than the festival grounds and my hotel, i dont go near the downtown or harbor area. Just sketchy.
Fells Point can be relatively nice and safe, and the very small Little Italy has some nice Italian places. But youre searching for gems in a giant pile of shit.
Best to avoid Baltimore entirely if you dont absolutely have to go there.

I hate Baltimore as much as the next guy (lived there for 3 years) but you got to be some type of retarded to think there's any good food in the inner harbor that isn't some type of fancy sit down restaurant or chikfila. There's Fogo Chao and Peter Luger for steaks, McCormicks for seafood like crabcakes and oysters, and Capitol Grill for standard american fare. All these places are very good but pretty expensive for the area. If you want cheap eats that are still good you have to go places like Federal Hill because they have things like the cross street market. But that would require leaving the highly policed safety zone of the inner harbor so I don't blame you.

>cross street market.
Haven't been in years, but always liked going to Cross Street Market. Good seafood boils, all sorts of other food, huge beers, and a pretty interesting and friendly crowd. No idea what it's like nowadays.

I remember the scene from The Wire where Bunk and McNulty are chowing down on crabs in an interrogation room, and wishing I liked seafood.

"You gonna waste that crab gut?"

This is how dumb you sound. I don't even like Baltimore but this better be b8.

Annapolis, about a half hour to the south, the state capitol. And they have a ton of non-seafood places, too. I hate words like "foodie" but it's a fucking foodie paradise. Both Bourdain and Fieri could've done a season's worth of episodes there. Best place I ever lived.

don't eat in the inner harbor
I like maggie's farm its not really in the downtown but it's a bar that serves nice food

also hersh's is nice pizza
