I thought yakitori being great was a meme, but I had some chicken neck skewers in japan last year and they were actually phenomenal for just being seasoned meat on a damn stick.

Wrong choice of meat can easily fuck it up. Especially if you use a tough cut that are like a shoe sole after just a few minutes of grilling.
