yes it is! but unless you keep your house warm as hell, it's hard to grow except outdoors, and then you can't control the conditions easily.. i've never gotten more than thin, spindly thai basil to grow this far north.

Lots of things use basil but if you want to add to that list of great reasons to grow it,

No its true, basil is weirdly underrated. Im glad strawberry basil is becoming a trend and its showing up in cocktails.
Also thai basil stir fry is so fire
