Congratulations! We've made it to another oyster season. How many oysters are you planning to eat this year?

I'd like to at least eat a couple dozen before it warms up. I like it when they serve them with a mignonette instead of cocktail sauce. Don't care for crackers with them, either, but I'm not picky.

I live in the desert, but somewhere that gets a ton sent to us. I'd just like a solid dozen if I'm lucky enough. It's my favorite food.
>>
For me it's mignonette, horse radish, and Tabasco.

I love them but I rarely get the chance to eat them. I prefer to shuck them myself.

Picked up some oysters from the beach and they were pretty terrible raw. I should've just cooked them. Alternatively I could've just purchased oysters from a store or something and not risked disease, but oh well.
What season is the best for oysters? I heard they have different characteristics for the different seasons.
