keto threadrate my breakfast the cherry tomatoes do have a bit of carbs in them though
Looks very good anon, would!
>>21631529thank you anon. i do miss carbs a lot. maybe someone in this keto thread can point to a good brand of keto bread or maybe a recipe eveneggs on toast is one of my favorite comforts desu
looks like something a woman or very effeminate man would eat
>>21631572n-no it is maximum brotein ; -;
>>21631535How long have you done it, I'm 2 years in and it's not a big deal anymore, after 6 months I stopped caring. Also I just feel so much better I don't want to go back. I don't eat any "keto" breads or anything. Maybe if you do it yourself but I wouldn't trust anything from a store.
>>21631688And another thing, if you still feel hungry you are most likely not eating enough, I made that mistake in the beginning.
>>21631526>the cherry tomatoes do have a bit of "not edible unless cooked into a sauce", thoughftfy.
>>21631721Gottem
>>21631526Good breakfast. The best scrambled egg texture as well.
>>21631572Hey. Shut the fuck up.
>>21631526Needs more carbs. Maybe some hash browns, or a piece of rye toast.Or dump all that stuff on top a dish of savory oatmeal. That fiber will keep you going all day.Ketosis is bad for the kidneys and brain.
>>21632063My diabeetus says otherwise. I've eaten my carbs for the next 20 years. Most of us aren't low-carb just for fun.
>>21631526Keto is a scam, sorry anon. Stodge is fuel . Pasta and potatoes are just about the most nourishing thing you can feed yourself, short of fruit .
>>21631526>ketongmi
>>21631526replace the green stuff with meat
>>21631535https://sugarfreelondoner.com/flaxseed-bread/#ingredientsI bought all the stuff but I haven't made any yet. I get Dave's Killer thin sliced seed bread which is 14g of carbs per slice. I have a piece of toast with 4 eggs and cheese and bacon sometimes. Anything under 50g carbs in a day will keep you losing weight or prevent gaining.
>>21631688I'm like this. It's a full lifestyle change and I'm not going back. The occasional cheat has my digestion messed up a couple days, so it's just not worth it. Keto breads and tortillas taste bad to me and still have about half the carbs (they do all sorts of fiber math to trick you) of the real thing.
>>21631721Yes, some of you don't like tomatoes. And then you declare that no one should like them and that spaghetti sauce and ketchup are the only ways you can handle the tomato. Grow up.>>21631911This is nonsense.
>>21631526>Keto>Just normal ass food minus grains/sugarsWhy do we hate this "diet" again?
>>21632063No, it's fat that keeps you going all day. And you keep pushing "savory" oatmeal on this board and still there are no takers. No one is going to start making oats like grits and mixing in onions and cheese and stuff. It's simply never going to happen. So any time you're ready to stop suggesting the oats, we're tired of reading about it. There's sufficient fiber in vegetables. You came to a fucking keto thread and suggest more carbs? Fuck off, dingus.
>>21632490Stay fat.
>>21632699nta but I eat savory oats every single day. usually with eggs, beef stock, and sour cream
>>21632700lmao, my bmi is 23
>>21632696Only stubborn incels hate it. And fat people who don't have the willpower to stay on it will also attack it with bitterness. >But your body NEEDS carbs. No, it doesn't. I've never been healthier in my life and I haven't eaten a potato or bread in years. I don't avoid every single possible carbohydrate, but I won't touch sugar and I don't eat starches. Look how fat everyone has gotten from the way we've been eating the last 50 or 60 years. It's not working. The carbs and sugars are everywhere, and superpowered; bolstered with fat. Our lizard brains still tell us to load up on calorie-rich foods when we come upon them. Like 30,000 years ago you'd come upon a fig tree and you'd eat as many as you could because you don't know when you're going to find more. The brain still works the same even though we're no longer hunter/gatherers. And now we have insane foods made of the worst stuff for super cheap and they hit all the right pleasure centers to keep eating. Even people who grew up skinny and would have grown to old age skinny have gotten fat. The majority of people in Western nations are overweight or obese. The MAJORITY. Keto was the solution for me. Because I cannot regulate myself with carb foods. I want more than I can have. If I eat what I want I will be overweight. If I eat meats and cheeses and vegetables I get full like a normal person and don't want more food for many hours. When I eat carbs I want more food very soon. I don't understand the science but I can chart my behavior and draw these conclusions. Keto works. And there'd be no need for it if most modern food products were not so processed and packed with sugar and fat and carbs.
>>21632702Weird. Good for you.
>>21632722the problem is omega 6 fat not sugar. linoleic acid is used by researchers to include insulin resistance.
>>21631526the bacon is fucked, but looks good outside that
>>21631526Pork is gross
>>21631526OMG SO HEALTHY!!!!!!! Lil Timmy gunna gwow up big n stwong
>>21631526Looks good
>>21631526fat/10
>>21632722>But your body NEEDS carbs.>No, it doesn't.You can live without carbs but it's usually not optimal. Your muscles are meant to store some carbs in the form of glycogen for energy and it also holds some water for proper hydration. It's not too uncommon for people to complain about fatigue and dehydration on very low carb diets.>30,000 years ago you'd come upon a fig tree...we're no longer hunter/gatherersHoney seems to have been a large part of the human diet for a long time. There are still hunter-gatherer groups today who eat large amounts of honey, sometimes getting half their daily calories from honey at times and they're healthy.I don't really know the answer to everything, but something that seems to be gaining traction is that it's not all carbs that are the problem but only specific ones for some people. There is some evidence that some people have starch intolerance just like some people have lactose intolerance. And that starch doesn't digest properly which causes digestive issues, excessive hunger and bingeing, nutritional deficiencies, etc. I've been dealing with that for a while. If I ate starchy food I never felt satiated by it and would eat until I couldn't eat anymore. And I'd still get calories from any fat with it but then the starch itself not digesting well would make me want to binge on sugary junk food right away after eating even a large meal. I'm doing so much better just cutting starch out but continuing to consume sugar and I don't have the strong cravings to binge anymore and I have so much more energy now.
>>21631526people still do that stupid diet?
>>21633443its the best diet for your health
>>21632772Pork and alcohol are going to be banned
>>21631535I've got two keto bread recipes that I use. Both really simple.First one is 3tbsp of almond flour, 1/2 tsp of baking powder, 1/4 tsp of salt, 1 egg, and 15g of melted butter all mixed in bowl until you get a nice sludge. Then poured out onto a plate or cup or whatever, and microwaved for 100 seconds at 600watts. Thats it.I like to also toast it, to remove some of the egginess. 303.4kcal, 3g net carbs according to Cronometer. I cut this in half to make two slices.Second one is 112g cream cheese, 28g butter, and 4 eggs blended together into a batter like consistency. Pour it into a silicon round mold of your choice. Its about 4-6 tbsp into each mold for me, and makes about 5-6 slices. Bake for 25 minutes at 350F. And you're done. This one is good for making batches that you can freeze/fridge for later. Cronometer says the whole batch is 891.3kcal and 7g net carbs, so at 5 slices thats 178.3kcal and 1.4g net carbs per slice. Both super easy. Second recipe takes longer, but tastes better. And you can store the extra slices, which is nice. I use both for sandwiches or toast or pizza toast or what have you. Last weekend, I used the first recipe to make fried chicken sandwiches.
>>21633522try not being fat in the first place, fatso
>>21634098No they won't muhammad. Your village will get nuked though
>>21631535The "fathead dough" stuff was pretty good but way too labor-intensive for me to bother with.I just get the low-carb tortillas from the grocery store now. They suck but at least I can make a quesadilla with them. At least one brand claims to be "zero carbs" but I doubt it.
>>21635051>The "fathead dough" stuff was pretty good but way too labor-intensive for me to bother with.Maybe you're just looking at the more complex recipes trying to mix-max the dough? Like, the recipe I use is really not labor-intensive at all.1. Get shredded Mozzarella 165g and Cream Cheese 30g in a bowl. Microwave at 600watts for about 30seconds. Mix it up, and if its not gooey enough nuke it again for another 30seconds.2. Add Almond Flour 120g to the bowl and mix/knead. It takes like a minute or two to get a doughy consistency.3. Roll it out on a buttered pan, and bake at 400F for 15-17 minutes. Flip, add your marinara/toppings, and bake for 10 minutes. And you're done. Super easy and low effort.
>>21635061This. It's pretty easy and tastes like pizza. My only issue is it's always so soft. I can't get a dense enough crust. Same with cauliflower, and that one IS a lot of work. I think it's gross though that people make cinnamon rolls and sweet things out of that fathead dough recipe. Sounds fucking disgusting to me. I'll keep tweaking it until I get a pizza I'm happy with. But making a crispy, all cheese crust can work too.
>>21632696>Why do we hate this "diet" again?I think the keto hate started as a vegan thing, since keto leans heavily toward meats and animal fats and it's basically impossible to do keto as a vegan. But then the leftards joined in because it's WhItE nAtIoNaLiSt NaZi FaScIsM to eat a healthy diet, to exercise, to show up to work on time, to do a good job, to use proper spelling and punctuation, and to do most other things that used to be considered normal baseline proper behavior to live in a functional society.
>>21634919Like 28% of Americans are "not fat", so congratulations if you're actually one of the few fit people left. But you don't get to pretend thin is normal anymore. You're the minority now. And telling people to just keep eating bread and butter and the regular foods that made them fat in the first place just means you want them to stay fat. I'm guessing you're fat too. If not, your attitude is not constructive to the conversation. Bye.
>>21635064>My only issue is it's always so soft. I can't get a dense enough crust.I dunno, I tend to get a nice crunchy dough. I roll it out to be about 40-by-20cm. And it gets crunchy on the outside, with the inside soft but firm. One thing I learned is that the type of mozzarella you use matters. Its gotta be that shitty dry mozzarella. Otherwise, the moisture in the mozzarella leaves the dough too "wet" to cook properly.
