I should probably start eating the canned food I stockpiled in 2020. What are some good recipes for 48 cans of turnip greens, a bunch of chili from various brands, canned diced potatoes, canned black/pinto/garbonzo beans, various stews and stewed tomatoes, sardines and mussels, spinach, corned beef hash, corn, okra, olives, water chestnuts, institutional poured 'cheese' topping, lentil soup, halved peaches, or pea and carrot medley? I wasn't really very organized or strategic when I was panic-buying food back then.
>>21631546Idk you were the idiot who got spooked by the flu. Figure it out yourself
>>21631546If you were stocking food why would you stock such a large amount of low calorie food? I don’t think turnip greens offer much value over a multi vitamin. You could replace this space with like spam, peanut butter or any of the other high calorie low volume foods.
>>21631546>48 cans of turnip greenslord have mercy I would rather just open one and slit my throat with the lid
>>21631546Use a bunch of the beans and tomatoes and corn and okra, throw it in a pot and season it how you like maybe kinda like a spicy soup/chili. Serve it over the potatos, or make cornbread have some of the greens on the side. Peaches for desert. The chili and soups.. just eat them.Deenz with crackersUse some of those beans and liquid cheese and with taco meat and make nachos. >>21631546from chatgpt"Lmao yeah, 48 cans of turnip greens is a lifestyle, not just a pantry situation. Dude’s basically signed up for the All Greens, All the Time Diet. But honestly, that stash is kinda wild — it’s like a mix between “grandma’s pantry” and “fallout shelter rations.” There’s some actual potential in there though:Turnip greens soup/stew with beans + stewed tomatoes Southern-style, could work.Chili mix-ups Add beans, potatoes, or corn to stretch the chili, maybe sneak greens in there.Hash experiments Corned beef hash + canned potatoes + cheese topping = diner breakfast energy.Seafood pasta Sardines or mussels + stewed tomatoes + olives = surprisingly Mediterranean vibes.Greens + okra + tomatoes Basically gumbo starter if you have rice/spices.Peach cobbler dump cake Classic canned fruit trick if you’ve got flour/sugar lying around. But yeah… 48 cans of turnip greens is going to haunt him. Even if he ate one can every week, that’s basically a year of greens."
