You heard me, it's all slop. The taste is overrated, it might smell good at first (only at restaurants) but, the smell clings to your skin and clothes and it stinks.Curry is overrated, it's literally just a over spiced stew where you throw in all the spices you can get your hands on.Their roast meats are alright, like Tandoori and kebabs but, you can easily find equivalents and even better examples in med cuisine. Now obviously it tastes good, it's edible food after all and it would be stupid to say it all tastes like absolute shit but, it's overrated af. There are way better alternatives than Indian food in every category
>>21632039luv paki food simple as
>>21632039>Now obviously it tastes good, it's edible food after all and it would be stupid to say it all tastes like absolute shit but, it's overrated af. There are way better alternatives than Indian food in every categoryA level of nuance rarely seen on /ck/
The first time I smelled curry I literally gagged and teared up, straight up smells like bad pungent sour body odor of someone who ate fist fulls of garlic and onion and hasn't showered in so long you can scratch their greasy skin and get thick layers of moist dirt under your nails.
>>21632039Is that a burrito? What's it filled with?
Bait thread, he posted the same on /int/
>>21632072Dosa, it's like a crispy crepe made from rice and lentils. That looks like a plain one with no filling, but I like masala dosa that is stuffed with spiced potato.
>>21632090people are actually gonna talk about the food on /ck/ instead of Indians coping
>>21632044I agree. Pakistani food is so much better. They have lots of delicious meat/beef/fish dishes. They don't overuse spices or heeng, so you can actually taste the fresh ingredients and cooking techniques. Indian food is too heavy and has an unappealing appearance and odor and texture and flavor. In general, Pakistani culture is more sophisticated and refined than Indian culture. In particular, cleanliness is an important facet of Pakistani culture in both physical and spiritual well-being.
>>21632113No filling? So like a wish sandwich lol?I would fill it with steak, beans and cheese.
>>21632044It's alright, I prefer med foods to anything they put out desu
>>21632039nah you have pig-tier tastebuds if you can't enjoy a butterchicken with indian rice on the side and cheese nan, sorry not sorry
>>21632266cope and seethe
fr, it stinks, tastes shit and it makes your clothes and sweat stink too no wonder Indians smell so bad
>>21632039South Indian food is very interesting. Probably a lot closer to what you would expect from a typical South East Asian country's cuisine and not India
>>21632235>wish sandwichlolNobody really eats it by itself, it's basically just a crispy flatbread to go with something else. Can see there are six bowls of food with it in OP's pic. Some variations use meat but it's less common than plain or with vegetables/paneer cheese. Never had it with paneer but sometimes the potato mixture for masala dosa will contain some chickpeas and that's pretty tasty.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dosa_(food)#Variations
>>21632457>Never had it with paneer but sometimes the potato mixture for masala dosa will contain some chickpeas and that's pretty tasty.Yeah dosa is a South Indian dish and southies don't really eat paneer or much dairy at all since they have a massive coast so seafood is the most common form of protein. They do eat curd rice with every meal but that's about it, nothing else dairy
>>21632039You just can't get a good burger in India.
>>21632456they wrap stuff in banana leaves and eat stuff like fish and coconut milk right?
Love Indian food. What's everyone's favorite chutney?
>>21633562None of them
>>21633566Thatโs a shame. Me, I love the green one.
>>21633562Lime pickle. On Tuesday I got 6 poppadoms, onion salad and lime pickle from my local for a good snack.
>>21632039Lol. You only ate the watered down bastardized versions.
love garlic naan so fucking much
>>21633573>It's impossible to not like the thing I like
>>21633578Alright i'lll concede. Garlic naan is very good
>>21633561Yep that's rightPlus rice based diet (fermented rice crepes, neat little rice cakes, rice pudding etc)
>>21633562of the ones that come with dosas (the red one and the coconut one), i much prefer the red one
Indian food is in fact underrated, because Indian fusion dishes are all foul, Indian migrants are dirty and poor, and India has a hundred ethnic regions you've never heard of. What you eat outside India is migrant slop.So in India, actually rich people, from a hundred regions, make actually good food. The south makes particularly good barbecues, the far east can do pork, the north does the best "curry" with beef DVD lamb, the west can roast lamb and makes plov/biriyani rice dishes. Many of the ethnic cuisines survive as subji, salads. Bet you've never tried Indian salad. India loves pickles, possibly the world's largest variety of pickles. You don't tent to see these outside India because they're home produce, Indians don't buy pickles they made them, if anything you will see pickling spices in bags for mangoes or whatever. Indian sweets are the best in the west, which are basically Iranian. Iran makes the best sweets in the world. But as you leave the west Indian sweets get really interesting/foul.India makes a huge selection of dairy products, more a modern thing. Their dairy production lifted 400% in the last 10 years. A lot is buffalo. So the Italians smile on India's new dairy industry. I say the Indian fusion is all foul, but Indian Chinese, Indian Nepalese fusion is worth trying if you dont really like Chinese or Nepalese. Dheli makes a wild chow mien.
Miss Indian buffets so much. The pandemic seemed to kill off a bunch of those.
>>21633578Oh, try the afghan garlic bread. I don't know what it's called but it was one of the only safe things to eat in Afghanistan. They made it the night before so couldn't really poison it in advance, and it was baked so you couldn't really get food poisoning from it. And they didn't nigger handle it like vegetables or meat. Muslim bakers are generally trustworthy people. All they do is bake. French bakers are terrorists, something about the hours, the isolation, the lifestyle
>>21632072>>21632235Sar, eating meat is le bad, do not redeem the protein saar, cows have feelings n shit saar
>>21633686jeet hands wrote this.Indian food is mostly mid-tier. The sweets are garbage unless you only love cardamon, and to say "best in the west" is the most retarded thing I've ever read. Paneer and tandoori chicken are good though.

>>21633888The most obvious samefagging
>>21633891Nope, do better to hid your insecurities next time
>>21633962Nope, my first post in this thread. Do better to hide your samefag bullshit.
>>21633965I'm not gonna turn my Thread into a retarded Samefagging debate so, go nurse your ego somewhere else
>>21633974I didn't want a debate, I don't need to nurse my ego. FFS, samefags are so prissy and ghey sometimes.

>Remember Kids Samefagging is le bad
>>21633573thisbloody basterd
>>21633702I think he meant the west of India, you fucking retard. Learn to read.
>>21634088He didn't
>>21634088Fair enough, I can accept that meaning. I think Indian sweets are still bad though, for example I hate kheer, and mango lassi is just a worse version of a western mango smoothie. I'm willing to try most of their food at least once because it's not offensive or anything, just mediocre in comparison to other cuisines.>>21633974You probably shouldn't accuse people of samefagging when you're wrong. Although I do appreciate thread guy's support and (You)
>>21633702>>21633888bruh
>>21634204
>>21634204I like gulab jamun. Gajar halwa is also underrated. It depends a lot on the restaurant. Just serving them warm makes a big difference but a lot of places don't bother warming it up.
>>21632039For snacks, bombay mix is addicted af, and papri chaat too>>21634266i was alway okay with it. I think maybe the excess syrup gets to me, kinda like those middle eastern flakey pastries with pistachio whose name i cannot remember. Ras malai is fucking great tho, and that cardamom skrikhand yogurt.
>>21632232come to bradford bro
>>21633688Indian buffets were dangerous to me. I could never not stuff myself. Three plates of curries and rice and whatnot, endless sasmosas, endless naan, and then dessert.. oof. I'm not surprised they went away after the pandemic, margins must have been razor-thin.
I've only had Indian food once because I was going out with this Indian girl. It wasnt bad, but I prefer Greek and Middle Yeastern
