What's for dinner tonight, lads? I'm having popcorn chicken with a mayo/ketchup mix.
>>21634507I had left overs today but I'm getting my weekly Wetherspoons tomorrow
Found some forgotten steaks in the back of the freezer leftover from Christmas, filet mignons. So we're having that with sauteed mushroom, stewed broccoli leaves and mash. I'm about to cook the steaks now, actually.
>>21634510you get a full engy and a pint?
>>21634525Post pics
Linguine with a meat sauce. Italian sausage, some hamburger, onion and a load of garlic. A can of crushed tomatoes with seasonings.Way better than ragu or prego.
>>21634507They call that fry sauce in Utah. Add a little bit of relish.
>>21634535Nah it's for my tea so it'll be fish and chips, chicken and chips or a burger and chips will absolutely be getting a few pints in though
>>21634543I've heard a lot of different names for it so I just list the ingredients
>>21634544What's your ale of choice
>>21634507bucket of colonel
>>21634536We orreddy eated it )c:There's some leftover mash but that's it. I had the steaks defrosting in the nukebox as I posted >>21634525 then had them sit about a few minutes to thaw further on their own as I prepared the sides. It wasn't anything special, though. Just salt and oak-smoked pepper on the steaks, garlic and parsley with the mushrooms, parsley and dry minced onion in the mash, garlic and flaked chilli with the greens.
I made Japanese curry yesterday and had leftovers tonight. Makes me sad knowing I missed my calling of being a chanko chef in a sumo stable. Those fat japs would have loved my cooking.
>>21634507Too bad it wasn't a katana inserted orally.
>>21634507Pastrami straight out of the bag.
>>21634541Very yummy!
>>21634575I usually get a large asahi for a start because it's ~£10-£12 for a meal with an alcoholic drink regardless of the drink so might as well go for a more expensive one. Then I'll either continue on with lager or switch over to Guinness or one of the guest ales.If I'm hungover and find myself in a spoons in the morning I usually get a pint of Ruddles Best (the cheapest ale) out of pure self loarhing
>>21635328That seems rather expensive for Asahi
>>21634507Yeah I air fry my steak, you wanna fight about it?
>>21635475How does it come out after being air-fried?
>>21635475Taiwan namba waaaaan
>>21634507Thinking of getting a Diner Burger at Midnight
I'm fasting today. I'm gonna have a seafood feast tomorrow, we're talking mackerel, shrimp, mussels, calamari.
wa la
>>21635748Decent. I always do it when I'm feeling lazy and I never regret it. Pan fry is obviously superior but I ain't trying to stand there for 10 minutes monitoring that shit >>21635820Urironically, yes. Fuck China.
>>21634507I can literally smell your sadness.
>>21634507Did you really only put 8 pops in the oven?
>>21634507>mayo/ketchup mixYou can call it "Thousand Island" to be fancy.
>>21634569Its a Utah thing, Artic Circle started the trend and other burger joints adopted it. you will be asked if you have fry sauce in Utahthe secret to TROOO fry sauce in the Artic Circle recipe is buttermilk. Yer Welcome.
Dinner dinner
>>21635455>~£10-£12 for a meal with an alcoholic drink regardless of the drink
>>21634507Bao buns with five spice chicken, spicy asian slaw and some pickled radishes. Don't bitch at me about pork belly being better it's fucking expensive here.
>>21634544You know, there is more out there than fish and chips with disgusting mushy peas
>>21634507Made chicken and dumplings, great fall meal.>brown off breast in hot oil (i used about 2 lbs)>pull breasts outta pan>mirepoix into pan, about 6-8 mins >garlic, chopped, into pan>1/2 cup flour, 6 tbsp butter >4 cups chick broth >1/3 cup heavy cream>peas>breasts go back in>simmer 30 min>separately, in a bowl: >flour, baking powder, salt >1 tbsp melted butter, 1/3 cup heavy cream >make a dough, knead but keep rough>drop 'lings about tbsp size into food>parsley, thyme, bay leaf, salt, pepper>let simmer another 30 min
>>21638095Looks good.
Had a fuckton of vegetables to cook (three 5-pound bags for 5 syrupdollars) so I made a batch of pickled roasted beets, beet yogurt and goat cheese salad, braised carrots, onion jam and also white wine braised pork legs
>>21634507Ordered in some roti and doubles... gave me a terrible idea.>most of the roti (wrap) around here is just really thin unleavened wheat bread. The dhalpuri's usually just much of the same with some yellow split peas pressed between the layers.>Why isn't anyone making these with phyllo? A nice crispy buttery crunch on the outside few layers, a layer with the split peas or mashed chick peas, a few softer layers inside next to the curry, and finally some meat n veg n taters in 'gravy'.
>>21634507im 38 years old and cooked steak for the first time. better late than never right?
>>21638250Sounds good, personally I wonder why things aren’t more often in eggroll wrappers>>21638274Turned out good, certainly better than the bag of chips and bowl of marshmallows I ate for breakfast
