>Go to restaurant
>Most food is dogshit but then outta nowhere one side dish or something tastes divine
I don't fucking get this shit, if you can make one thing taste extremely good, why not apply it to the REST of the food?

Perhaps that place should only serve that one side dish and that's it.

It's the worst thing about thinking I could work on the food network when I was young and dumb - there's like three things within an hour's drive that are as good or better than I can make... and one of them's the deer burger from an upscale burger joint that costs way too fucking much - it's just a pain in the ass to do all that prep for anything fewer than a dozen people.

Nearly every Hibachi restaurant. They will serve God tier Onion soup and ginger dressing salads but shitty mis-prepared main dishes.

>aww, that's so cute, do you like the soup because the little shells catch the little peas in them OP?
>>
>>21635292
No, he took a job at a better restaurant.
>>
>>21635678
They are the best noodle for any soup with whole peas or tiny diced veggies for exactly this reason

I got one near me called Saltgrass Steakhouse. Steak I got was dry, had no flavor, extreme chewy, etc. Meanwhile the potato soup was absolutely amazing.
