is there like a secret trick or something when it comes to making mexican sweet water?ive tried making their hibiscus drink, their tamarind drink, and their horchata drink but it always comes out so bland compared to the stuff ive had at restaurants
>>21635348Add lemon or lime juice to all of them. Probably more sugar too
They probably use commercially bought syrups/powder.It's not some kind of Mexican magic, I learned that every single time any special tasting food is a combination of nostalgia warping my brain, and artificial flavourings that were developed by scientists.
>>21635505damn it's probably this then

>>21635505I literally googled "agua fresca concentrate" and got a plethora of products and syrups etc that are used, pic related.I imagine they use these as a base, and then load up with actual fruit juices, lime juice, solid fruit and other stuff to make it visually appealing, but I guarantee 100% that this is what makes it taste good.
It's probably zuko drink mix
>>21635348Not being a dumbass. thats the secret.
the creamy ones use sweetened condensed milk
>>21635348Just buy one of the powder mixes then adjust it to your own taste with salt and lime.
>>21635348it's fake syrups that makes it sweet as fuck. I instantly know when they use syrups because i have an allergy to the sweeteners. my family use me like a tool to check if something has sweeteners it's kinda funny when I think about it
