Pate is gross ! Why do people pretend it’s good? Is it a sick joke ?
>>21636134It's for upper class people so of course you don't understand
>>21636180But pate is cheap (never made my own) I like pork liver pate
>>21636180lmaoNo it fucking isn't>>21636134Eh, I like it but I can understand someone not enjoying it. Rather than bitching like a woman about something you don't like, how about you tell us about something you do?
>>21636134>Why do people pretend it's good?
>>21636180it's for cats.
>>21636134It's god tier the only issue is i cant stop eating itGod i will go back to the market tomorrow to buy more
>>21636134its a good way of making organ meat palatable
>>21636218My cat won't touch that shit. It's chipped tuna in gravy for her.
>>21636134Stop being poor
Its good when homemade and not pozzed with shitty ingredients
>>21636199>pate is cheapThe good ones ain't. My local deli does a few really great pates, but you pay quite a bit.Or you can get the cheapest pate from Lidl, which isn't great but it is cheap.
>>21636134>Why do people pretend it’s good?Hi there! Welcome to the /ck/ board on 4chan. It's customary to wait until you're 18 before posting here.FYI, people like all sorts of things and they like different things. There's a bunch of reasons for this, such as genetics, upbringing, and what things you have happy memories associated with. Really. This means that not everyone likes the same things as you. This is how people are. If you can't stand that idea, you're going to find the rest of your life rather difficult too.
>>21636134If it's cheap it sucks
>>21636415>Paying premium for fucking pate
>>21636134you ate cheap shit
>>21636134Canned pate tastes bitter because it's old and overcooked. If you have a blender you can easily make it in 30 minutes and it'll taste amazing. Just season, sear, and simmer off some livers with onion, then blend them. After blending, taste and add other things like a bit of stock and seasoning, then keep tasting and mixing until it tastes right. It's good, cheap food.
>>21636899That sounds a lot better than the shit I made years ago. I don't even remember what I did, I think I did that but didn't add any onions or stock, it tasted so weird that I've no desire to try it again. Maybe I overcooked it or am just not used to organ meat.
Perfect dip for pork rinds
>>21636134>Pate is gross ! Why do people pretend it’s good? Is it a sick joke ?shut the fuck up, its good, maybe you just had shitty pate

>>21636440>uncultured hillbilly confused by fine diningSo sad. So many cases.
>>21636134i always eat a little slice of that once a year because it feels like christmas. like the bearnaise sauce and a lot of fat but comfy french food
>>21636134My richfag uncle left me a few tubes along with other richfag food and I tossed it away. Richfags actually eat like fuckin shit

>>21636134Pâté is really good if you're into it. Especially with mushrooms (truffles, morels, girolles, whatever) and/or fruits (berries).
>>21636134I prefer the American version
>>21637410It's "foie gras" retardo.
>>21636134>Pate is gross !Cause you buy the cheap stuff or don't know how to make it.PATE IS GREAT!There, I said it!It's over!
>>21637213>pork rindsA connoisseur.
good pate is greatgood liverwurst is greatmortadella is... italian...
>>21638678He is probably from the US where they need to drown every meat in BBQ sauce or deep fry it with breading otherwise they won't like it.
>>21636134Different people like different things. Some like red wine and pate, some like when their wives have boyfriends.
>>21636202You sound more like a woman with your passive aggressive reply
>>21637530It's all they got
>>21638851both european
This could be the best board if autistic flyover children had their own internet.
>gross !>good?>joke ?French false flag?Anyway this thread is garbage, remember your herbs
>>21638864>You sound more like a woman with your passive aggressive reply, she says, passive-aggressively, as her gender is wont to do.
>cook desired ingredients in microwave >put everything in blender, blend to a fine paste>add corn starch>blendIt's as shrimple as that.
I bet OP is the kind of manchild palate to call blood sausage disgusting
>>21636180>It's for upper class peopleno?! although it heavily depends of the ingredients (from low-quality pork meats, duck, quails, wild boar, etc. assembled in frankenstein mix, or "pure") and seasonings (spices, black peppers, herbs, or other uncommon stuff like honey, berries, exotic fruits), it's absolutely not an upper class dish since it can be made at home
>>21638941Get your estrogen checked lil tyke
>>21638052it's « ficâte oînteuſ » débilo
>>21638968i like a good pate don't use this thread for your vile taste
>>21636134I wis I could afford Pate. :( feels bad man.
>>21639879its not expensive
>>21636134I just made it for the first time today. It was easier than I expected, and I got to light some liquor on fire, which was fun.I'm still not sure what kinds of meals to have it with. I've done pate and jam on bread and quite liked that, but I'm trying to find a more protein-rich option.
>>21636134Lol dumb poor piece of shit nopate fag
>>21638051Not Pate` retard.
>>21638968They taste bad. Fuck off
>>21638998Don't put off that mammogram and cervical scraping!
>>21637410>ground up livers and fat is fine diningI like pate but don't pretend it's anything but poor people food.
>>21640591It quite literally is. So is deviled ham. Both are pates by definition. Pretentious, lying faggot.
Even in today's world, it's an element that cannot be ignored, and in the past, there were probably many people with bad teeth, even among the upper class.
>>21636273here's a pic of my cat btw
>>21640783If it's not cooked it's not pate. so deviled ham isn't pate. I know ham itself is cooked but you'd need to cook the whole preparation again if you'd want deviled ham to be paté.Potted meat would be a terrine which is essentially pate but in a dish instead of a crust, although the distinction is not really relevant since industrial pâté is no longer cooked in a crust.
>>21640818>pate>paté>pâté
