How do you deal with it when you get hungry out in the world? Just wait to get home and make something or do you have another solution?Or is this a non-issue in general because you plan your meals well enough to where you're never hungry unpredictably?
I just don't go outside
>>21636139I dont eat fast food because im broke and poor.I just dont eat till i get home. 8 hours without food is easy. It sucks but get fucked poorfag :(
>>21636139that happens so rarely that it doesnt really bother me, i can take an occasional hit but its just not worth it
bring your own food
>How do you deal with it when you get hungry out in the world?I understand the difference between actual hunger and simply wanting to eat.I learned long ago that most people, particularly the fat ones, don't understand the difference at all.I'm never "hungry out in the world" but I'd be lying if I said I haven't experienced desire to eat. I usually ignore it and it passes but I live in an area with so many options that I have never had to bother going to McDo or wherever else for a "fix".
>>21636139Intermittent fasting. I only get hungry around 5-6 at night, by which time I'm back home. If I know I won't be, I will bring some nuts with me to tide me over.
>>21636139You can find something that's at least decent at a store if you really 100% need something before going home. Like popping into walmart or publix and grabbing some greek yogurt and fruit, or hummus and baby carrots. Things can be quick and still be decent.
>>21636139Since I stopped eating restaurant and highly processed microwave slop, I don't get hangry anymore. I typically eat twice a day, with one big meal in the morning and then leftovers from that meal early afternoon. It's pretty rare for me to be out and about and have a need to eat.
See they have these containers including things like lunchboxes and coolers that can hold your food so you can bring it with you
>>21636195>I live in an area with so many options that I have never had to bother going to McDoThis. When you can get two whole kimbap rolls for $5 total, why would you get a Big Mac?
People bring food with them. For most people it’s like an apple, a little bag of chips, but I worked with one crazy guy who would just bring a bag of sandwich supplies to work everyday. Like a plastic bag with sliced cheese, mustard, mayo, ham, and bread in it, and he didn’t put it in the fridge or anything. He was a really nice guy but I never understood how people become so brutish.
I plan my day with meal timing in mind.If I fucked up, I figure out an option that doesn't involve fat food. I mean fast food.Mostly, disgust helps. If I wasn't disgusted by fast food I might eat it sometimes.
>>21636139What the fuck kind of question is this?>vegetarians: what do you do when you're about to starve to death and the only food around for hundreds of miles is steak and chicken?Like christ man, if it's the only option then I will find the most tolerable fast food and eat just enough of it to tide myself over until I can go back to eating good food. I can't remember ever needing to do this, nor can I think of any situation where fast food would be the only available food option for long enough that I would be forced to eat it.
>>21636139I just starve until I get home. I've accidentally gotten "yelling slurs in public blackout drunk" many times because I refuse to eat food I don't cook myself.
>>21636139I might eat fast food if it's literally the only option, but that's rarely the case. Places like cafes, diners and bistros usually serve decent food in a timely manner. Grocery stores often have ready to go meals. There are almost always options before you have to resort to Mcdonalds, unless you're in the middle of bumfuck nowhere.
>>216361391. If you don't eat sugar or simple carbs, your hunger is controlled WAY more easily.Just wait til you get home. Seriously, DON'T EAT SUGAR. You have to read labels, too. If you simply don't eat anything out of a box or a drive-thru, you control what you eat. Replace sugar with fat. Fat is good for you. Beef is good for you. It takes like a week or two to get used to not eating sugar, then when the addiction is broken, the insulin hunger response ends, the hunger pangs slow or end. Additionally, when you're hungry, eat fat and protein. The fattier it is, the easier it'll be to get over sugar. Fat is flavor. Fat is satisfying. I have an affinity for Slow-cooked chuck roast that I make myself with very few ingredients. Save the remaining juice for gravy and stew. Speaking of stew, replace the potatoes with parsnips. They're delicious.
>>21636139Hey, also, learn to fast. You don't have to fast for a week, but doing it two or three times for even just 16 hours will show you how easy it is to ignore hunger, then if you practice it regularly, your stomach shrinks up some, heartburn is nearly gone for me and you teach yourself how little continuous sustenance you actually need.Additionally, When you eat carbs, your blood sugar goes up. This happens to everyone. When your blood sugar increases, your insulin is released to control it, turning it to fat. This lasts until the carbs you ate, along with any other foods, are no longer releasing carbohydrates to increase the blood sugar, then about eight hours later, your insulin normalizes. Until then, you cannot burn your own fat under all but the most extreme circumstances, like a marathon.
>>21636139Skipping a meal won’t kill you.
>>21636637To some here, skipping even the next Monster energy drink while running dungeons or dropping dank memes is unthinkable.
>>21636139So when you start doing your own thing, you can make and have snacks on hand at all times. Trail mix, fruits, veggies, jerky, chips. There is nothing stopping you from getting snack pack shit at the grocery and bulk store for eating from home. Or making that shit from the bulk items if you don't want to pay for the convenience. I mean you can literally buy a box of skittles or whatever from a bulk store and have candy on hand 24/7. It's cheaper than vending machines too. Same with soda and other crap you get at restaurants. You can even make your own fountain shit with sodastream and adjust the syrup ratios to match fast food slop!
>>21636704FFS, may as well save money for diabetic supplies now.
>>21636449OP is zoomer baby who can't even conceptualize the ability to get snack packs from the grocery because they are so hooked on grubhub type shit.
>>21636706I'm just saying for OP's addicted ass you can get literally EVERYTHING done by fast food and restaurants and DIY. Not that you should, but you can. If that is step one for these zoomers to break free of eating out, then so be it. From there they can learn to let go of the sugar sources and clean up their habits. But that can't happen till they stop outsourcing their food creation/management to globohomo.
>>21636139I just bring a lunch with me when I'm going to be gone all day. If I'm out somewhere where I'll be spending the night, I'll grab dinner at an actual restaurant.I keep some healthy snacks in my car, like 100 cal packs of fried chickpeas, seaweed snacks, or packets of chinese pickles. I always keep flavor packets on hand to add to my water bottle so I don't even need to buy a bottled beverage. I haven't eaten fast food since like 2005 when I was a kid. I don't even remember what it tastes like, but it smells awful so I'm not all that curious to try.
>>21636711Knowing your average 4dicks user, OP would probably just get a crazy amount of candy and ultraprocessed garbage and get even fatter buying in bulk from bog box stores. Some people are too weak mentally for that sort of freedom. You're not wrong with what you say but I have no faith in the self control of someone who can't even figure out how to survive without a fast food burger.
>>21636139>Just wait to get homeYeah, I lost 40ish pounds by doing omad a few years ago and now I'm pretty used to waiting a long time before eating and disregarding hunger up to a certain point
>>21636139can't tell if this is based or a jewish attack on small business
>>21636707Doesn't even have to be grocery store food, although that's a decent option. But you could grab a nice sandwich from a cafe, a quick sushi lunch, some pub food...idk why OP seems to think fast food is the only available thing to eat out in the world.
>>21636928Restaurants aren't the only small businesses. Patronize your local butcher, they probably have way better stuff than your local walmart. Same goes for your local bakery, farmer's market for produce, etc, and of course the local ethnic grocery stores. Eating at local restaurant (not delivery) can be a treat once you've detoxed from corporate slop.
Or just eat out once a month instead of every single day
>>21636139I just wait til i get home. If i really need something I'll try to pack snacks beforehand. If not, then i just get something that isnt fast food. Pretty easy to do, just requires self control
I'm vegan, so I'm used to eating before I go out and just waiting until I get home to eat. I don't have too much trouble going a day without eating
>>21636933>idk why OP seems to think fast food is the only available thing to eat out in the worldAmerica, fuck yeah!
>>21637000i eat your mum out every day
>>21636139I can go days without eating when I choose, waiting an afternoon isn't a problem.
>>21636139>Save money on mealsBro have you seen the price of groceries? Eating out is still cheaper if you order off the valve menu.
>>21636139I eat breakfast, skip lunch, eat dinner. I don't like to eat or use the bathroom when I'm out of the house. If I'm doing something like hiking I'll bring the usual granola/nut kind of thing and water.
if im THAT hungry that i can't just wait until I get home, i can buy something really small
You know that it is possible to predict that you will be hungry and bring food right?
>>21637335I'm not your bro faggot
>>21636139>you're never hungry unpredictablyi wake up everyday expecting to transcend my biological need to eat, and am surprised every time I feel hunger.
>>21636139This only happens to me if I’m on a long drive, typically I get some beef jerky and cheese at a gas station or something to hold me over.
>>21636139being hungry for a bit is normal and healthy for you, your brain is fried if you need to snack non-stop
>>21636139I dont usually get hungry if Im out doing chores. Tbf though, Im not usually out on the town for more than 6 hours on the weekends. It just never crosses my mind. Dont really want fast food either. Dont need it. The wife though, WEW LAD. She loves eating trash.
>>21636139>I'm hungry!>I need food now!>waahhhhJust wait you impossibly fat fuck
>>21636139>How do you deal with it when you get hungry out in the world? You don't know what the word >hungrymeans.
>>21636320I used to work with a guy who did the same, except with a jug of milk too. Guy was one of the nicest fellas I've worked with and just strong as fuck. Saw him at the gym, asks me to spot his max, hits it once and didn't struggle at all. Asked him if he thought about doing it more than once. "Fuark you really think so?" and just reps it out like 5 times and seemed genuinely thankful for the suggestion.
>>21637870>How did people in olden times manage to survive without restaurantsthey didn’t
>>21636139Amphetamines, but that's inadvertent. I actually have to try to eat most days instead of not eating, and if I'm not careful, once the medication wears off I feel like binging fast food.Otherwise, I got used to grazing and eating smaller portions sizes myself. Even when I'm not on speed I almost never stuff myself full at a meal, and the occasions it happens, I feel like shit. American portion sizes always leave me with 1-2 additional servings once I've taken the leftovers. I think the key is eating to the point of feeling just a little hungry - enough that it isn't distracting. When you get used to that, eating smaller portions, grazing, and avoiding overeating gets a lot easier, after which snacking while outdoors, or even just avoiding eating until you get home, gets a lot easier too. You fill up easier on stuff like pieces of fruit and nuts that you can easily take with you outside.
>>21637342>I don't like to eat or use the bathroom when I'm out of the houseSame. I have never pooped in a public restroom and I'm 41 and I refuse to eat around other people.
>>21638061I genuinely like shitting in public as long as the restrooms arent gross. It’s like an intimate little break from the hustle and bustle, and once I’m done I get to rejoin society feeling like a new 1 pound lighter man
>>21636143fpbp>>21636139Never being hungry is how you get fat.
>>21637335If you're buying premade meals from the store like an idiot, and using app coupons, and even then only maybe.
>no eating out challengegirlfriend's not going to like this...
>>21636139>Just wait to get home and make somethingYes, if I'm truly hungry. Also, just because my stomach growls doesn't mean I'm hungry. I've learned that the growling goes away after a bit and I feel normal.
Learn how to exist being mildy uncomfortable.
>>21636139get these
>>21636707Lol and you're hooked on premade industrial packaged food lmao I'm the only person on 4chan who knows how to cook
i used to work in fast food so lunch was always spoken forthis became a genuine problem now that i don't work there anymore, i was saving so much money not having to pay for food, and i genuinely didn't even have to think about or plan what to eat day to day at all.
