My last three bottles have all tasted fine and were a vibrant red color. I always get it at my local Kroger in my shitty flyover state. I'll have to keep an eye out for shitty batches I guess.

Moderately. I think how long it's been sitting around affects it more than anything. I've had a bottle that accidentally got aged in the cabinet for several years and was considerably spicier. You can always just doctor it up
